If a man knew that even one glance at a non-related woman
robs him of the pleasure of worship
and makes him how sinful in the eyes of Allah,
then he would hammer nails into his eyes
but not lift his gaze towards a non-related woman.
And if a woman knew
how much her Lord is displeased with immodesty,
and to what extent displaying adornment makes her deserving of punishment,
and how men look at women,
then she would not be satisfied even covering herself in seven layers of clothing.
This religion is not strictness, it is protection.
This veil is not imprisonment, it is honor.
