Today, history wears black.

Today is such a day for the Muslim Ummah that history will never be able to forget. Today, not only two personalities have departed, but the Ummah has lost the commanders of its two great fronts. On one hand, the Imam of Sufism, reform, and spirituality, Hazrat Mukhtaruddin Shah Sahib (may Allah have mercy on him), and on the other hand, the symbol of resistance, courage, and steadfastness, Sout-ul-Jihad Abu Obaida Shaheed.
This day is not only a day of sorrow for the Ummah but also a day of loss. Such a loss that cannot be compensated even in years.
Mukhtaruddin Shah Sahib (may Allah have mercy on him) was among those personalities who connected hearts, erased hatred, and kept the relationship with Allah alive. He used to guide the Ummah intellectually and spiritually while living in the simple environment of the Khanaqah. The words that came out of his mouth had an effect on hearts, and even his silence became a lesson. That is why the people of heart rightly called him Mukhtar-ul-Ummah.
On the other hand, Abu Obaida Shaheed was the voice that shone like a lamp in the darkness of oppression. He was not just an individual, but the translator of the feelings of not only the oppressed Palestinians but the entire Muslim Ummah. There was no fear in his challenge, but certainty; there was no weakness in his tone, but steadfastness. That is why he was called Sout-ul-Jihad, a voice that became a challenge for the powers of the world.
It is a matter of regret that the Ummah still needs both of them very much. One for the reformation of hearts, the other for standing against falsehood. But the Sunnah of Allah is that Allah calls His special servants to Him after trials, and leaves the Ummah to follow in their footsteps.
Today, Khanaqahs are also mourning and fronts are also silent. Today, knowledge and spirituality are also tearful, and Jihad and resistance are also. These are not two funerals, but the separation of the Ummah's trust, courage, and direction.
There is a need for the Ummah not only to remember these great personalities in tears, but to keep their mission alive. To become one who connects hearts like Mukhtaruddin Shah Sahib, and to stand firm on the truth like Abu Obaida Shaheed.
May Allah Almighty grant both these great personalities a place in the highest ranks, accept their sacrifices, and grant the Ummah their best replacement.
Aameen.
