Ramadan is the month of blessing, abundance, and piety. This holy month requires that a person adopt honesty and justice as much as possible in their morals, dealings, and especially in business. People of heart have always emphasized that maintaining justice in the market is also a form of worship, because trade is a matter of goodwill and trustworthiness with God's servants.
But alas, in this blessed month, which teaches sacrifice and compassion, traders are presenting the opposite scene. As soon as Ramadan arrives, the thing that costs one hundred rupees on ordinary days suddenly becomes two hundred rupees. It seems that some people consider this month of piety and mercy as an opportunity to increase profits. However, the message of Ramadan is that a person should create ease for others, not increase prices by looking at their needs.
The truth is that the shop of an honest trader, even if small, remains full of blessings, while the vast business of an unjust trader also becomes a source of restlessness and trouble for the soul.
Real success in business is achieved only when, along with profit, the well-being of God's servants is also kept in mind. The trader who increases prices by looking at the needs of the people gains temporary benefit, but injures the trust of the society.
Therefore, it should always be kept in mind that the beauty of trade is not in profit, but in trust and justice. The wealth collected from looting seems like a treasure, but in reality, it is the funeral of society's trust.
When a trader adopts honesty and compassion as his motto, the economy becomes a source of peace, trust, and blessing in the society.
