The Companions - May Allah be pleased with them all - are the leaders of this Ummah. They have great favors. They conveyed the Sharia to the Ummah with great honesty. Their greatest distinguishing characteristic is "the company of the Holy Prophet - peace and blessings be upon him." Due to the blessing of this, countless virtues were created within them, they gained depth in knowledge, were granted extraordinary understanding, became familiar with the secrets of the Sharia, and their understanding of the texts is supreme.

Their sayings, decisions, and fatwas are called " آثار " (Athaar), and they have great importance in Sharia. They play a major role in proving actions. The Imams of every era have embraced them and given priority to their opinions on their positions.

These " آثار " (Athaar) play a major role in identifying actionable matters. Sometimes, information about the abrogation of a ruling is obtained from them. Their non-speculative statements have the status of "Marfu' Hadith."

They were very careful in narrating the words of the Prophet - peace and blessings be upon him. They were constantly worried about attributing a wrong statement to him. For this reason, they adopted a cautious approach in narrating Hadith and did not clarify "Samaa" (hearing) even in matters they had heard repeatedly from the Prophet - peace and blessings be upon him.

The Ummah treated the آثار (Athaar) like Marfu' Hadith. Countless words of the Prophet - peace and blessings be upon him - are hidden in these آثار (Athaar). A significant amount of knowledge of the Sharia is present in them.

The scholars have strongly encouraged acting upon it and have considered ignoring it as deprivation. They have considered it the strongest evidence in proving a matter. In this lies our success. In every matter, turning away from it and seeking a Marfu' narration is a sign of ignorance, a sign of misunderstanding, and not religiosity but following one's desires.
