Can you touch Ma'ariful Quran during periods?

Ma'ariful Quran is a commentary, not a pure Mushaf (only the Holy Quran).

*The ruling in Hanafi Fiqh is that:*

It is not permissible for a menstruating woman to touch the pure Holy Quran (Mushaf).
However, if a book contains more commentary and less Quranic text, it is permissible to touch that book, but be careful not to touch the verses.

Proof:

It is stated in Al-Durr al-Mukhtar:
> It is permissible to touch books of Tafsir if the Tafsir is more.
And its details are present in Radd al-Muhtar.
Since the amount of commentary in Ma'ariful Quran is much more than the text of the Quran, it is permissible to touch it.

*Can you read it while holding it in your hand?*

Yes, it is permissible to read the commentary. But do not touch the verses.
However:
It is not permissible for a menstruating woman to read Quranic verses for the purpose of recitation.
If a verse is read with the intention of commentary, broken up, or with the intention of supplication, then there is room for leniency (according to some jurists).
