Our Mashaikh has said that;

 Ramadan has the same relationship with the rest of the months as Hazrat Yusuf (A.S.) had with his brothers.

Hazrat Yaqub (A.S.) had twelve sons. One of them was Hazrat Yusuf (A.S.), and by the blessing of Yusuf (A.S.), Allah Almighty forgave the mistake and crime of the remaining eleven sons. 

 

Our Mashaikh has said

 There are twelve months in a year. Among them, the month of Ramadan is like Hazrat Yusuf (A.S.). By the blessing of this one month, Allah Almighty forgives the sins of eleven months.
