What is Love?

Come, let us tell you some stories under the title of love today. Do you know what love is?
Love is this:
When Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) was seen crying by a companion, he asked, "Abu Bakr, what has made you cry?" He replied, "I saw the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) crying, so I am crying."

Love is this:
When a woman from Bani Dinar's husband, brother, and son were martyred in the Battle of Uhud, and she received the news, she repeatedly asked about the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) until she found him alive and said, "If you are alive, then every calamity is light."

Love is that:
Which the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said about Hazrat Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her):
Do not trouble me regarding Aisha.

Love is this:
When, at the time of migration, Siddiq Akbar stopped the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) from entering the cave, saying, "I will go first, lest anything in it cause you harm."

Love is this:
When Hazrat Bilal Habshi (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked by Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) to give the call to prayer on the occasion of the conquest of Jerusalem, he started the call to prayer. When he reached أشهد أن محمدا رسول الله (I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah), he cried so much that he had never cried so much before.

Love is this:
When the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked Hazrat Thoban (may Allah be pleased with him) why the color of his face had changed, he replied, "O Messenger of Allah, I have no pain or illness. I remain in a state of anxiety until I see your radiant face."

Love is this:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked Rabi'ah bin Ka'b, "Do you have any need? Then state it." He replied, "O Messenger of Allah, I only want your company in Paradise."
