Respected Readers. A while ago, I saw a video message of Maulana Sahib in which Maulana Sahib was talking about resigning from Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen. I had never seen Maulana so sad before today. Well, when religion and wisdom meet on the horizon of politics, then lamps are lit that give light for centuries. The personality of Hazrat Maulana Abdullah Salim Qamar Chaturvedi Sahib was also such a lamp - bright, firm and full of knowledge and wisdom. Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, which has always been the voice of minorities and the hope of the deprived, was adorned with a truthful, fearless and dignified leader in the form of Maulana Sahib. His tone was polite, his thoughts were high, and his purpose was always the exaltation of religion and the welfare of the nation. His resignation is not just a political decision but like the end of an era.

Chaturvedi Sahib always tried to promote unity among Muslims and Hindu-Muslim brotherhood. His speeches had the fragrance of love and his thoughts had the light of insight. His sincerity, his simplicity and his religious insight were an asset for the Majlis, the lack of which will be felt for a long time.

Whatever the reasons for his resignation, it is clear that he is a person who sticks to his principles. It may be that the politics of the times was not in harmony with his temperament, or perhaps he was alone in this crowd that understands the language of interests more than principles. But nations are made up of those individuals who come silently and leave after writing history with their character. Although Maulana Chaturvedi Sahib's resignation is heartbreaking, the effect of his thoughts, his sacrifices and his guidance will never fade.
