"God has never changed the condition of a people

Who do not have the desire to change their own condition."


Human history is witness to the fact that hardworking people never fail. Those nations progress in the world who consider work as worship, and make hard work an essential part of life. Hard work takes a person to the heights of honor, status, and success.


Hard work is a key that unlocks even closed destinies. There is no shortcut to success, but it is only achieved through continuous struggle, perseverance, and sacrifice. Just as flowers face thorns before blooming, similarly, success is only achieved after hard work.


> "Never step back, afraid of hard work,

Only those pick thorns who desire flowers."


Hard work is most important for acquiring knowledge. The student who abandons laziness and studies with dedication, one day becomes a doctor, engineer, scholar, Mufti, or leader. It is this hard work that makes an ordinary person extraordinary.


> "Those who sat down tired near the destination,

How would they understand the joy of victory?"


Allah Almighty says in the Holy Quran:


> ﴿وَأَنْ لَيْسَ لِلْإِنسَانِ إِلَّا مَا سَعَىٰ﴾

Translation: "And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives."

(Surah An-Najm, Verse 39)




This verse is proof that Allah Almighty Himself values hard work, and the efforts of a servant are not wasted.


Similarly, pointing to the natural weakness of man, He said:


> ﴿وَكَانَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ عَجُولًۭا﴾

Translation: "And man is ever hasty."

(Surah Al-Isra, Verse 11)




Therefore, instead of haste, we should adopt the path of patience, steadfastness, and hard work.


If a small ant keeps falling and rising, and finally takes its food to its destination, then why should we give up? We are the best of creation, we must recognize our abilities and move towards success.


> "This is the law of nature, this is the message of existence,

The one who falls and then recovers, that is the existence of man."


In the end, I will say that hard work is the ladder to success. Only those people gain respect in the world who work day and night. We should set the purpose of our life, avoid laziness and idleness, and make hard work our weapon in every field.


May Allah Almighty grant us all the ability to work harder and harder. Amen, for the sake of Sayyid al-Mursalin (the master of the messengers), peace and blessings be upon him.
