Overthinking starts when the mind starts repeating problems instead of solving them. The same thought comes to mind again and again, each time becoming a little heavier. The question is not answered, but the question keeps growing.
The mind imagines every possible outcome, even those that will never happen. In this process, the present fades into the background and the person gets entangled in imaginary scenarios of the future. Overthinking doesn't just tire us, it slowly empties us.
Often overthinking is not a weakness but a result of excessive responsibility. We want to control everything, avoid every mistake, and this effort turns the mind into noise.
It is not possible to silence the mind, but it cannot be stopped either. Sometimes it is enough to accept that an answer to every question is not necessary right now. Letting some thoughts pass is also part of mental health.
Overthinking is not an excess of thinking, but a lack of pausing.
