Shab-e-Barat

Shab-e-Barat is a great and blessed night in the Islamic calendar that comes on the fifteenth night of Sha'ban al-Muazzam. On this night, the door of Allah Almighty's special mercy, forgiveness and pardon remains open. It is mentioned in the Ahadith that on this night Allah Almighty forgives countless people. On this night, Muslims offer Nawafil prayers, recite the Holy Quran, engage in prayer and repentance, and express remorse for their sins. Shab-e-Barat gives us the message of repentance, self-improvement and attaining closeness to Allah.
