Not Bowing Down Despite Being Broken
✍️ Mufti Muhammad Tasleemuddin Al-Mahmoodi
Loyalty is not easy.
This is the path where a person breaks within themselves every day, but doesn't let out a sound. Where there are a thousand reasons to complain, but gratitude remains on the tongue and principles remain alive in the heart. The real test of loyalty begins where self-interest, ego, and temporary gain stand in front. This is the place where most people fall... and only a few make history.
In the society we live in, loyalty is considered weakness, silence is considered cowardice, and sticking to principles is considered foolishness. Here, the one who speaks the truth becomes lonely, and the opportunist moves forward clapping. Character has no value, cunning is in demand. Those who suppress the voice of conscience are called successful, and those who endure pain are called "fools."
Although the real greatness is that a person endures pain, but never gives the key to their dignity and character into someone else's hands.
This is the height where a person does not mortgage himself to circumstances. Where he decides that I can be broken, but I cannot be bought. I can be tested, but I cannot be bent.
Today, our biggest tragedy is that we have started weighing values on the scales of profit. Relationships are tied to profit, loyalties are tied to self-interest, and truth is what is in the interest of the powerful. In such a situation, the person who sticks to principles remains alone. But remember, being alone is not weakness, but often it is a sign that you have refused to be part of the crowd.
Loyalty does not mean that you keep tolerating every oppression, but it means that you do not respond to oppression with oppression. Your silence is not weakness, but a declaration of the strength within you. Your restraint testifies that you have not let yourself be unrestrained by circumstances.
Societies are not reformed by slogans, but by character.
When a person stands in the market of lies with the truth, he becomes a threat to the entire system. When a person fulfills loyalty, despite the fact that its reward is loneliness, he awakens the conscience of the society. Such people do not make noise, but their silence shows the way to generations.
We have to understand that sacrificing principles for temporary gain is the biggest loss. Because the person who sells his conscience once, remains cheap for the rest of his life. And the person who saves his character even after suffering pain, whether he remains anonymous, becomes a jewel on the forehead of history.
Come, let us be the lamp in this society that does not learn the art of extinguishing for fear of the wind.
Let us make loyalty not a weakness, but a strength.
Let us make silence not a defeat, but dignity.
And let us teach our children this lesson that real success is not that you win, but that you do not lose your principles even after losing.
Because remember,
Real greatness is where a person breaks…
But does not bow down.
