*Ahkaam-e-Ramzan-ul-Mubarak*
*Hukm of Burping and Vomiting Returning or Being Returned*
If vomiting occurs spontaneously or is done intentionally but does not come out of the mouth but returns on its own, or the vomiter returns it intentionally, then the following details will apply:
1)) If some food or gravy comes into the mouth due to burping and it returns on its own, then the fast will not be broken. However, if the burper intentionally returns an amount equal to or greater than a chickpea, then the fast will be broken, and if it is less than a chickpea, the fast will not be broken.
2)) If someone vomits spontaneously and it is a small amount and then returns on its own, then the fast will still not be broken. However, if the vomiter intentionally returns an amount equal to or greater than a chickpea, then the fast will be broken, and if it is less than a chickpea, the fast will not be broken.
3)) If someone vomits spontaneously and it is *mouthful*, then even if it returns on its own, the fast will not be broken. However, if the vomiter intentionally returns it, then the fast will be broken, whether it is less than or more than a chickpea;
4)) If someone vomits intentionally and it is a small amount and then suddenly returns on its own, then in this case also the fast will not be broken. However, if the vomiter intentionally returns an amount equal to or greater than a chickpea, then the fast will be broken.
5)) If someone vomits intentionally and it is *mouthful*, then whether they return it or not, the fast will be broken in both cases.
٘
*If someone eats or drinks something after vomiting?*
As mentioned earlier, if someone vomits spontaneously, the fast will not be broken. However, if someone did not know this and thought that the fast might have been broken, and therefore intentionally ate or drank something after vomiting, then their fast will be broken, and only one day of Qaza will be obligatory, and Kaffara will not be obligatory.
