Do you know that just as people in the world have desires and pleas, similarly, the inhabitants of Hell will also have pleas? Yes! In Hell, the inhabitants of Hell will also plead to Allah Almighty and the keeper of Hell. Come! Let us learn about these pleas in the light of the Quran and Hadith. Allah Almighty says in the Holy Quran:
”Qَالُوْا رَبَّنَا غَلَبَتْ عَلَیْنَا شِقْوَتُنَا وَ كُنَّا قَوْمًا ضَآلِّیْنَ۔ رَبَّنَاۤ اَخْرِجْنَا مِنْهَا فَاِنْ عُدْنَا فَاِنَّا ظٰلِمُوْنَ۔ قَالَ اخْسَــٴُـوْا فِیْهَا وَ لَا تُكَلِّمُوْنِ“
(Surah Al-Muminoon: Verse Numbers 106, 107, 108)

Translation Kanz-ul-Iman: "They will say, 'Our Lord, our wretchedness overcame us, and we were a people astray. Our Lord, bring us out of it, and if we return [to evil], then indeed we are wrongdoers.' He will say, 'Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me.'"

The command of the last Prophet of Allah, Huzoor Tajdar Khatm-e-Nabuwat ﷺ is:
“It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said that the inhabitants of Hell will call out to Hazrat Malik (peace be upon him), the keeper of Hell, and say, 'O Malik! May your Lord (finish our work by giving us death).’ Hazrat Malik (peace be upon him) will say to them that you will remain in Hell. Then they will plead in the court of Allah Almighty, they will call out and say, 'O our Lord! Our wretchedness overcame us, and we were a people astray. O our Lord! Bring us out of Hell, and if we do the same again, then indeed we are wrongdoers.' They will be answered that remain despised in Hell and do not speak to Me. Now their hopes will be cut off, and at that time, they will be busy in regret and cries of ruin.”

Another Hadith Sharif states: It is narrated from Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the inhabitants of Hell will call out to Hazrat Malik (peace be upon him), the keeper of Hell, but he will not answer them for forty years, after which he will say that you will remain in Hell. Then they will say, 'O our Lord! Bring us out of Hell, and if we do the same again, then indeed we are wrongdoers.' And they will not be answered for twice the age of the world.”
And there are several opinions about how old the world is. "Some have said that the age of the world is seven thousand years, some have said twelve thousand years, and some have said three hundred and sixty thousand years.

Dear readers! These noble verses and blessed hadiths are not just for reading; rather, we should learn a lesson from them. Today, our body is also healthy and sound, and our intellect and understanding are intact. We understand and know very well what is right and wrong for us? Yet, we are covered in a blanket of negligence.

For God's sake, consider your life as a treasure and start today; rather, right now, to obey and follow Allah Almighty and His beloved Huzoor Tajdar Khatm-e-Nabuwat ﷺ. Otherwise, it may happen that we too will be counted among those who plead.

O Allah! Grant us a sound mind and a sound heart and grant us the ability to do good deeds. Amen, O Lord of the Worlds!
