*The Misfortune of Shaving the Beard*
This aspect should always be remembered, and one should have complete faith in Allah Almighty. Keeping a beard is a good deed for twenty-four hours, and shaving the beard is a sin for twenty-four hours.
Consider, shaving the beard takes time, but keeping it does not take any time.
The thing to think about is *how much wealth of the entire Ummah is spent on shaving beards!* The money that each person spends on shaving his beard, if that same amount were spent on religious works, how many Maktabs would be established, how many Madrassas would be populated, how many mosques would be built, how many widows and orphans would be supported, and how many necessary religious works would be accomplished.
We should also pray for this.
Hazrat Maulana Abdul Qadir Raipuri (may Allah have mercy on him) used to say:
"When I see the funeral of someone who shaves his beard, I fear how he will recognize the Holy Prophet ﷺ in the grave?"
*O dear ones!* The beard is not just an outward symbol but also the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ and a sign of faith. For the person who claims to love the Prophet ﷺ, it is necessary that he gives a place to the Sunnahs of the Prophet ﷺ in his life.
*Remember!* Inner reform is not complete without outward reform. If we hold on to the Sunnah today, this same Sunnah will become a means of salvation for us tomorrow.
O Allah! Create true love for Your Holy Prophet ﷺ in our hearts, grant us the ability to follow the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ, reform our outward and inward selves, and make us those who adopt deeds that please You. O Allah! Forgive our shortcomings and keep us steadfast on the religion.
