The increasing attacks on Muslim identity in India and fears for the future are not just emotional phrases but a researched and practical reality. At the time of independence, the Constitution of India guaranteed every citizen the right to practice religion, establish their educational institutions, and protect their cultural identity under Articles 25 to 30. But the reality is that within seven decades, this constitutional freedom of Muslims has been limited to paper clauses, and their identity has been continuously attacked on a practical level. Sometimes through the riots of the 1980s (Moradabad, Bhiwandi, Neeli), sometimes through the demolition of Babri Masjid in 1992, and sometimes through the Gujarat riots of 2002. But in the present era, these attacks are coming to the fore in new ways on legal, social, and psychological levels. Today, the situation has reached such an extent that even a simple sentence (I love Muhammad, peace be upon him) is not tolerated by the government. According to recent reports, in Uttar Pradesh, more than two dozen Muslims have been arrested by the police for merely holding boards with this sentence, as if Muslims can no longer freely declare their love for their Holy Prophet, peace be upon him. Not only this, in Karnataka during 2022, daughters were prevented from wearing hijab, and the courts also strengthened the government's position, beards and caps were declared against discipline in many universities, a campaign was launched to ban loudspeakers on Azaan, and allegations of extremist education were leveled against madrassas and their registration was being revoked.

The role of the media in this whole narrative is very dangerous, Muslims are always presented as traitors, terrorists, or burdens through films and news channels. This psychological attack has made Muslims suspicious in the minds of ordinary Hindus, as a result of which even a minor quarrel takes on a communal color. All this is not just a social problem but a strategy that some leaders' parties have made their agenda under the ideology of Hindutva so that Muslims cannot remain steadfast in their faith and identity and gradually merge into Hindu culture.....

Fears about the future are even more serious. If this trend continues, skill centers will be established in place of madrassas, the mention of Islamic history and Muslim personalities will be removed from the curriculum, mosques will be closed by declaring them a security risk, and future generations will be made to believe that being a Muslim is a crime, in fact, it has already begun...

In 2023, the National Educational Research and Training Council (NCERT) removed chapters on Muslim rulers, especially the Mughals, from the curriculum so that the minds of the new generation would be cut off from history....

But the question is, what should Muslims do? Should they buy temporary peace by selling their identity or live with dignity by standing firm on this identity? History tells us that the nation that stands firm on its identity is the nation that survives, no matter how much the world tries to crush it, the identity of the Muslims of Spain (Andalusia) was erased, so Islam also disappeared there, but despite millions of sacrifices in the subcontinent, the sound of Azaan is still there today because some people did not compromise on their identity. Today, the Indian Muslim also has these two paths, either to make legal and democratic efforts to practically obtain the guarantees of the Constitution, establish their educational and economic institutions, convey their voice to the global community, and above all, include the love of Mustafa in their blood, or silently sacrifice their identity and be called a slave nation in the pages of history....

This is a moment of reflection. Today's decision will determine the history of future generations, either they will be called a captured nation that was afraid even of the name of its Prophet, or they will become a revolutionary nation that broke every prison in the name of the love of Mustafa and emerged victorious. The decision is in our hands........
