Unjust Killing and the Death of Human Conscience

Respected readers, news of this kind circulates daily that somewhere a person's life was taken over a minor land dispute, and somewhere someone was surrounded by thugs and brutally beaten to death, resulting in them losing their life. Such news is heard so frequently that it seems to have become a trivial matter, although the loss of a human life is a very painful and distressing thing. Whenever news of this nature is heard, the heart feels deep sorrow and anguish. Allah Almighty created man as the noblest of creatures by giving him intellect and understanding, but alas, today this same man has become his own enemy. Murder and bloodshed have become commonplace, and the sanctity of human life is being eroded. It is a daily reality that such heart-wrenching incidents are heard in which man appears thirsty for the blood of man. Today, killing a human being has become like a trivial game, and the sanctity of human life has become insignificant in the eyes of man himself. Taking someone's life for trivial matters, anger, greed, and a few coins, making children orphans, women widows, parents helpless, and plunging entire families into sorrow and grief has become common. The weapons that were originally made for protection from predators or for hunting are today stained with the blood of innocent humans. In these circumstances, even wild animals seem to taunt humans that we, being predators, do not kill our own kind with such cruelty, while man, possessing intellect and understanding, is indiscriminately killing his own people and kind. Man is using the blood of humanity instead of water to quench his thirst.
These cruel people cannot bear their own pain, but they riddle the hearts of others with bullets. They love their own lives, their children, their wives, and their parents, but they do not hesitate to take away the lives of others, the innocence of their children, the happiness of their wives, and the support of their parents. They want to protect their businesses and interests, but destroying the entire world of others seems trivial to them. They consider themselves more entitled to the blessings of life and the world and are not content with Allah's distribution. For temporary gains, they leave a person writhing in pain to death, although they do not know that the grip of nature is silent but very strong. If no one in the world hears the cry of the oppressed, then Allah certainly hears. The sighs of orphaned children, the sobs of elderly parents, and the lonely nights of widows reach Allah, and the supplication of the oppressed is often accepted without hindrance. There can be no injustice with Allah; man reaps what he sows.
The murderer will have to stand in Allah's court one day and give an account of every injustice he has committed. Today, whoever is destroying the homes of others, his own home may be destroyed tomorrow. History is witness that the end of those who shed blood has been tragic. In the Holy Quran, the punishment for deliberately killing a believer is described as Hell, Allah's wrath, and curse. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said that the sanctity of a believer's life is greater than that of the Kaaba. Even if someone is forced to kill another to save their own life, the killing of an innocent person is not permissible in Sharia. Therefore, those who commit murder for anger, greed, power, or worldly gain should consider that the temporary benefit of this world is nothing compared to the eternal loss of the Hereafter. The suffering inflicted on others will be faced with a much more severe punishment, and then the truth will become fully clear that a few days of benefit is actually a loss forever.
O Allah Almighty, protect us and our society from the evil of oppressors and murderers, help the oppressed, and do justice to the oppressors with Your power. Amen, O Lord of the Worlds.
