Bazm-e-Sahafat: Students of the Mewat Region, Mazahir Uloom (Waqf) Saharanpur, Report of the Monthly "Al-Tabligh"

 (Part 1)

Introduction

Alhamdulillah, I got admission in Jamia Mazahir Uloom Waqf Saharanpur. Since Bazm-e-Islah-ul-Khitabah, students of the Mewat region, Darul Uloom Deoband, had given me some, and for the next two years, a lot of connection and interest in writing articles due to the responsibility of journalism, therefore, after getting admission in Mazahir Uloom, my first desire and wish was to start a regular journalism system in Mazahir Uloom Waqf Saharanpur as well, and to implement and witness all the arrangements that I had seen while staying in Darul Uloom, so Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah Almighty, this dream turned into reality, and articles were written, got written, annual essays were also written, annual journalistic prize meetings were also held, and students were also awarded with a lot and a large number of prizes.

Is this the first era of the wall magazine or the second era?

In this regard, I consider it necessary to clarify that since when has the wall magazine been closed in Mazahir Uloom Waqf Saharanpur? Or when did its tradition end? So, in this reference, I tried a lot to find out something, I also asked Mufti Nasiruddin Mazahiri directly in this regard that since when has this series of wall magazines been closed? But it could not be known with certainty, however, later when the Department of Debate started under the auspices of Anjuman Hidayat-ur-Rasheed, I was also associated with it, even if nominally, so almost all the records related to the Anjuman and its departments were available in it, from which it was known that since 1437/38 AH, neither the Department of Debate is active nor is there any system of journalism and wall magazines etc., however, scattered articles and frames etc. from before that were seen. And here in Mazahir Uloom Waqf Saharanpur, the system of Anjuman that exists at present is somewhat different from Darul Uloom, in Darul Uloom Deoband, there are regional and provincial Anjumans, but here the Anjumans are determined by the Madrasa, in which students of different regions and different grades are divided equally and given various names consisting of twenty-five students and weekly programs are held, and at the end of the year, one student is selected from each Anjuman and an annual oratory competition and prize meeting is held under the auspices of Bazm-e-Hidayat-ur-Rasheed, it is highly likely that this method of Anjumans here is from the same time i.e. 1437/38 AH, which was due to the mutual fights etc. of the students related to the Anjumans, whereas before that, there were regional and provincial Anjumans here as well.

It should be noted that Anjuman Hidayat-ur-Rasheed is attributed to Hazrat Maulana Rashid Ahmad Gangohi Noor Allah Marqaduhu, which was founded in 1930 AD during the tenure of Hazrat Maulana Khalil Ahmad Saharanpuri Noor Allah Marqaduhu. (To be continued)
