O youth of the nation, my nation's innocent children, boys and girls! At this stage of your lives, the world will surely call you towards its attractions; it will try to entice and distract you. It will present you with an extremely deceptive picture of life and tell you that life is only lived once, so live it to the fullest and according to your own desires. In short, it will make every effort to distract you from your Creator and Master.
But my dears, remember that this world is nothing but a testing ground, a transient abode. The One who created this world Himself has declared it to be mere play and amusement, and has clearly stated:
"وَمَا هَذِهِ الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا لَهْوٌ وَلَعِبٌ"
The entire worth of this world in the eyes of its Creator is not even equal to the wing of a mosquito.
My innocent youth, my Muslim brothers and sisters, you all should have complete faith that this world will soon come to an end, and the Day of Judgment, which will be very heavy, will turn this world and all its systems upside down and destroy them. When even strong objects like mountains will be flying around like cotton wool. Brothers will forget about sisters, and sisters about brothers, husbands will forget about wives, and wives about husbands, friends will forget about friends. Even mothers will forget their little children, and everyone will be concerned only with themselves. It will be a strange state of anxiety because on that day everyone will be given full recompense for their deeds, and even if someone's deeds are as small as a mustard seed, they will be presented. Then, according to that record of deeds, the decision of an everlasting life will be announced, whether that person is worthy of God's mercy or God's wrath.
My dear brothers and sisters! Just imagine for a moment, for whom, for whose sake are we displeasing our God? For whose pleasure are we angering our Lord and inviting His wrath and anger? Just for the comfort and ease of this short life of sixty or seventy years, we are kicking away a life of thousands of crores, or rather, a never-ending life. Why do we forget, while accumulating wealth and riches through wrong means, that after a few years all this will remain here, and others will enjoy it, and no one will come with us into the darkness of the grave. Only a few years after our death, no one in this world will remember us. We will be erased from people's minds as if we never existed.
Dear friends! But Allah Almighty has preserved every single one of our deeds, and as I have mentioned before, our eternal life will be determined by these deeds.
Respected brothers and sisters, for God's sake, have mercy on yourselves, do as many good deeds as you can in this short life. Please your Master and Creator, act upon His commands. Keep the rights of Allah and the rights of people in mind at all times. Protect your character from deadly diseases like envy, malice, hatred, lying, deceit, dishonesty, immorality, and injustice. Remember, we will not be questioned about what someone else is doing, how they are doing it, and why they are doing it. But what did we do? Why did we do it? And how did we do it? These are the questions that we will have to answer in any case. Allah Almighty says clearly in His Word, "لَهَا مَاكَسَبَتْ وَعَلَيْهَا مَا اكْتَسَبَتْ" (Translation: For it is what it has earned, and against it is what it has earned.)
Therefore, my dears! Pay attention only to your own deeds, keep in mind that this bad environment should not corrupt you too. You will be responsible for your own sins. Respond to someone's evil with goodness, only for the pleasure of your Allah. Whatever good you do, do it only for your Allah. Remember that people have no status or power; without the will of Allah, they can do neither good nor bad to you.
My dear brothers and sisters, in the end, I will just say that remove the fear of people from your hearts completely, that if we do this, what will people think? If you also keep thinking about what people will think, then what will people think? You should only keep your Allah and His pleasure in mind at all times, because these same people who are inciting you to disobey Him today will completely disown your deeds on the Day of Judgment, saying that we had no power over you, you are responsible for your own deeds. Therefore, from today onwards, try to please your God instead of pleasing people. May Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala be our supporter and helper, Amen.
