If Allah Almighty has blessed you with the wealth of children, then give a platform to at least one of them.

Allah Almighty's blessings are in the millions, crores, billions, and trillions, that He created us as humans, then gave us the ability to thank Him, then created us in the Ummah of Muhammad ﷺ, and then blessed us with countless blessings that are beyond human comprehension. Among these blessings, one of the greatest is children, but today those who have children do not appreciate this blessing, and they have no idea, but those who do not have it appreciate it very much. We can ponder how great a blessing children are. I have seen countless people crying and wailing for children, and you yourselves know that children are a great blessing. If we want to count the blessings of our Lord, we cannot count them (فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ). When we cannot count them, then how can we fulfill the right of gratitude? How can we praise and glorify Him? Allah's ذات is so high, so sacred, so exalted that our words cannot be worthy of Him.

Hazrat Ajmal Shah Rehmatullah Alaih says:

How can we, the weak, express Your praise?

For You are beyond imaginations, thoughts, and assumptions.

In the garden of the world, all glorify You

With the language of their state, with their hearts, with their tongues, with their limbs.

How can Ajmal praise, being unaware of the destination?

Only those who know the signs walk on this path. We do not have that power within us, our language does not have that breadth, our words do not have that height that is in accordance with the glory of Allah. We can only say this: نحمدك يا ربّ، نشكرك يا غفّار الذنوب و يا ستّار العيوب.

Now to the main point: When Allah has blessed you with the wealth of children, then give each one some platform, and if you cannot give to all, then give to at least one so that they may add glory to your honor, so that they may become a light for the family, so that because of them your world may be adorned and your hereafter may be illuminated. Today, the biggest tragedy is not that we do not have children, the real tragedy is that children are present, but there is no direction. Today, except for a few, most Muslims in our homes are living a life of labor. Labor is not a defect, but leaving an entire generation in the darkness of labor is a great injustice. The issue is not of ability, the issue is of platform. We have abandoned the way of thinking of our ancestors, abandoned our identity, and we too have become laborers and are determined to make our future generations laborers, while the Islamic concept of thought is that instead of labor, business should be done, and if you do not believe, then look at the Prophets (peace be upon them), all of them either had their own profession or business. Without going too far, look at the Prophet of Allah (peace be upon him) himself, he did export and import, and the lives of all the Companions bear witness to this that they used to trade.

Pull yourself together, you were born to be served, not to serve. Someone rightly said, it is not a matter of regret that we were born in a poor house, the real regret is that we die poor and push our children into poverty as well. If you cannot advance all the children, then make one strong, that one child can change the destiny of the entire family, and has changed it for sure. The pages of history are witness that in the house where only one child was educated, time changed and today every child of that house is educated, because one knew the value of education, then he went out to change everyone, to take them out of darkness, to take them out of deprivation, and to bring them towards light.

Remember, one lamp illuminates the whole house, one strong pillar supports the whole building, one right step changes the direction of entire generations. We give children food, we give them clothes, we give them mobile phones, but we do not give them the purpose of life. We teach them to play, but we do not teach them the art of winning in the field of life. We give them desires, but we do not teach them to sacrifice. For God's sake, teach your children not only the art of living but also the courage to win, teach them not only to earn but also to become something, do not only show them dreams of jobs but also show them the paths of leadership. If you make one a scholar, one a doctor, one a businessman, one an artisan, or just make one strong, that one will become a prayer for your seven generations, he will become a cause of your honor, and he will become a light in the darkness of your grave. There is still time, the decision has to be made today, give a platform to your children, if you cannot give to all, then give to at least one, because that one will one day become the support of all, and that one will adorn your world and your hereafter will also be adorned. For God's sake, we people do not understand what poverty is.

A motivational speaker, while explaining poverty, says, "See how bad a thing poverty is, when you are traveling on a train and by chance it is a general compartment, and your wife is also with you in it, then you will either leave her or go into it. If you go, then it is obvious that you are a pure person. There is modesty in our women, but the compartment is general, so what you do not want will happen with your fellow travelers, and you will have to watch, and you will definitely have to watch because the compartment is general and we people understand the meaning of general, people will come and go in it and sometimes it happens, in fact it often happens that they remain touching each other. Now, if you were rich, then you would not take your wife in this general compartment, but you would take her in reservation or AC, or you would go by bus or four-wheeler. The purpose of telling this was that our poverty brings us to this platform when we look at it, then for God's sake we cannot understand what happens to us that should not happen."

My further advice is that you spend so much on your children's weddings, instead of making the wedding so expensive, make the Nikah easy and give the money that is going to be spent there to the child to start a business. You do not have to spend money on clothes, food, or any other facility, that is, do not waste money. If your wedding can be done in five thousand, that is, a feast, then try to reduce it even more, but where you should not stop spending money is in two places: one is education, spend as much as you can, and the other is business. You can do export work, but definitely do business. Allah has placed blessings in business, and firstly, according to Islamic ideology, dowry is not allowed, but still, if they give more, then tell them not to give goods but to give cash and start a business with it.

Note: Brother, everyone has the full right to express their thoughts because I am also a human being like you, and it is possible that my thinking is not like yours. If there are any who have different opinions, may Allah reward you for your thinking.

May Allah الكريم grant us the ability to understand. Aameen Ya Rabb Al-Aalameen, by the grace of the Holy Prophet ﷺ.
