Babri in the Light of Facts
....................................................................................................................
The date of December 6th is the final explosion of a five-century-long war in which sometimes falsehood suppressed truth, sometimes politics bought the court, sometimes the majority broke the bone of justice by putting its weight on the minority, and sometimes the Ummah itself, resting its head on the pillow of negligence, allowed its history to be lost in the dust. The story of the Babri Masjid begins in 1528 when Mir Baqi built a grand mosque on this site. There is no mention in Baburnama that a temple was ever demolished there, an idol was broken, or that there was a place called Ram Janmabhoomi. For four hundred years, Hindus and Muslims shared each other's joys and sorrows, the markets were also one. If there really was such a belief there, then there would have been at least one writing, one complaint, one religious reference in centuries, but nothing is found. Despite this, after 1857, the British divide & rule policy created this lie of the Ram Mandir. In 1859, for the first time, the land was formally divided into two parts. The outer courtyard for Hindus, the inner part for Muslims. This was the first official injustice that laid the foundation for making the mosque controversial. Then in 1885, Mahant Raghubir Das for the first time applied to the court to allow us to build a platform. The Hindu Mahant himself, considering the mosque as a mosque, applied. This is also proof that the claim of the temple is merely a weapon of later politics. The court did not allow the platform to be built and clearly said that this place is a mosque of Muslims, but has politics ever cared about the decisions of the court?....
That dark night of 1949 when extremists, under the patronage of the police and administration, placed idols inside the mosque overnight. This was not a natural event but a plan of the entire provincial system. Secret files have now been opened that how the bureaucracy of that time waited for orders for hours and no one stopped even one miscreant. The next morning, the government locked the mosque and beat the drum of status quo. This was the same status quo that kept the mosque captive and made the oppressors victorious. From 1950 to 1986, Muslims kept going around the courts, but in 1986, the political legacy of Indira Gandhi produced a decision that signed on the corpse of Indian secularism. The lock was opened. Not for Muslims but for those who placed the idols. At the same moment, some miscreants made the Ram Janmabhoomi movement a sword and heated up the market of hatred throughout the country, Hindu youth were trained, sticks, hammers, and pickaxes were distributed in the name of Karseva. Both parties fueled the entire campaign according to their own politics, every path of Ayodhya became a predetermined stage, the court was silent, the government was silent, the police were silent, and oppression shouted at every step that now it is the mosque's turn.
On December 6, 1992, when Lal Krishna Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Uma Bharti and the entire leadership reached that place, the decision of the mosque had already been written, trained rioters brought in the guise of Kar Sevaks made a human wall around the mosque, the police were ordered not to interfere, the first blow of the hammers did not fall on the dome but on the face of the Constitution of India, then in the blink of an eye three domes fell, the sky felt its breath suffocating with dust, the pages of the Quran scattered in the air, the memories of the worshipers were mixed in the dust and the world saw that the demolition of the Babri Masjid was not just a religious crime but a national murder. Murder of justice, murder of the majority, murder of secularism, murder of brotherhood, murder of the constitution, murder of Indian democracy.
But the biggest wound was given by the decision of 2019 when the Supreme Court itself admitted that demolishing the mosque was a criminal act, it was majority fanaticism, the law was torn to shreds but the land was still handed over to them and the Muslims? Only the consolation of building a mosque in a separate place, meaning your place of worship was demolished, your history was erased, your right was taken away, we will give you justice and we will decide the decision. Has the world ever seen such justice that the crime of the criminal is also proven and yet the right is handed over to him?
O Ummah! Now it is your responsibility to convey this whole truth to your generation, tell them how the policy of the British put the first crack, how political interest fabricated the lie of the temple, how the courts buried justice in the files, how both Congress and BJP flared up this issue like a burning fire for their own benefit, how on the night of 1949 a dagger was struck in the chest of the mosque, how the decision of 1986 sewed the shroud of the mosque, how on the day of 1992 rioters erased the existence of the mosque, how the decision of 2019 embarrassed the justice of India in the whole world and how in today's India mosques, madrassas, the history of Muslims and their places of worship are constantly being brought into a narrow circle. CAA, NRC, Hijab ban, Madrasa survey, Waqf Board law, the myth of Love Jihad, all these are the continuation of one story. Full control of the majority, full siege of the minority.
And O Muslims! This is the last warning for you, if you do not tell your generations the truth of Babri, then one day they will ask you where were you Abba when the mosque was being demolished? What were you doing when justice was standing in the dock? Why were you silent when our history was burning? Tell them that this mosque was a symbol of your honor, it was the jugular vein of your history, it was the flag of your collective identity. If you do not preserve this history, your generation will not get history but only debris, only tears and perhaps only regret.
O Ummah! Preserve your history, awaken your generations, shake your hearts and do not just remember the story of Babri Masjid, put it in your veins because the nation whose mosques are demolished and it does not write history, that nation itself starts being written in the margins of history.......
