Maulana Tauseef's Oppression: A Lament for the Death of Law and Democracy

A Funeral for Humanity

Today's era has become one of the darkest chapters in history, where the value of human life has been reduced to less than nothing. The recent mob lynching incident involving Maulana Tauseef is not just an accident but an organized barbarity that has stained the forehead of humanity. Publicly targeting a religious scholar is a declaration that the fear of law has ended in this country, and savage frenzy has taken the place of justice.

Gunda Raj and State Failure

The first responsibility of any state is to protect its citizens, regardless of their religion or class. But the blood of Maulana Tauseef is crying out that the government has utterly failed in this fundamental responsibility. When mobs of rioters take to the streets and take someone's life, and the administration remains a silent spectator, it is not called governance but *Gunda Raj*. It is the government's incompetence that criminals are confident that they will escape the clutches of the law, and this confidence incites them to further brutality.

An Offshoot of Organized Hatred Against Muslims

What is happening to Muslims in this country is no longer hidden. This wave of hatred has been fueled so much for political interests that it is becoming normal for one human being to thirst for the blood of another. The mob lynching of Maulana Tauseef is an offshoot of the same hateful narrative that is spread day and night through social media and specific institutions. Has being a Muslim become a crime in this country? Is it now necessary to be a slave to a particular political ideology for the safety of one's life?

Silence of the So-Called Justice Providers

The most painful aspect is the silence of those classes who call themselves champions of democracy and justice. Those intellectuals, those social activists, and those institutions that make a fuss over small things, why are they deaf and dumb today in the case of Maulana Tauseef? Do their scales of justice change based on the religion of the oppressed? This hypocrisy is eating away at this society like termites. Those who are silent today are actually accomplices in the crime of those oppressors who played Holi with Maulana's blood.

The Demand of Justice and Our Responsibility

Justice is not just about arresting a few people, but justice is about *exemplary punishment*. Every individual involved in this mob lynching should be given such a severe punishment that future generations tremble before raising a hand on an innocent person. *Accountability*: An accounting should be taken of those police officers and administrative officials whose negligence or collusion led to this incident. *End Political Patronage*: The political patronage of elements spreading hatred should be stopped immediately.

The blood of Maulana Tauseef is asking us whether we are citizens of a free and democratic country or whether we are living in a Banana Republic? If we do not create unity in our ranks today and raise our voices against this oppression, then tomorrow it will be someone else's turn. This fight for justice is not just for Maulana Tauseef, but it is a fight to save the constitution of this country. Arise! For now is the time for awakening. Raising your voice for justice is now not just a right, but a duty.
