The culture of boyfriend and girlfriend is actually a product of Western civilization, which is slowly infiltrating our Muslim society as well. This is a tribulation that has shaken the foundations of our society, and it is with regret that I must say that our youth, especially our sisters, are rapidly falling prey to it.
This is not just a "friendship" but a path that leads a person towards sins. Today, we see that in this so-called love affair, people are moving away from their religion, and sometimes even abandoning their religion altogether. What a great deprivation it is that for a few days of temporary amusement, a person forgets his Lord, his religion, and the honor of his parents.
The truth is that what is being called love these days is not actually love, but a deception and a fraud. True and pure love is that which is established after marriage, which includes honor, responsibility, and the pleasure of Allah. In contrast, relationships with non-Mahrams are only a means of entertaining the heart, the end of which often results in destruction, disgrace, and regret.
We should think about why we risk our religion and the honor of our parents by trusting strangers? Why do we ruin our future with temporary emotions? Remember, many people are looking for opportunities to trap someone in their net and then push them into the pit of destruction. These are all satanic games, the purpose of which is to mislead man.
The best example for us is the blessed life of our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. We should adopt his teachings and protect ourselves from these evils. This path leads to lies, deceit, sin, and adultery, and ultimately distances a person from Allah.
May Allah Almighty grant us all understanding, give us the ability to protect our religion, and protect us from all kinds of tribulations.
