Reforming society is a long-standing desire of us all. Every segment of society should be concerned with how to reform society. If society is to be improved, it should begin at home. It is said that charity begins at home, which proves that home and family are given great importance. Even when giving Zakat and charity, start with your close relatives. The same applies to inviting to religion and reforming society. If every person is concerned with reforming society starting from their own home, there can be no better way to reform society. To lament the corruption of society while neglecting the reform of one's own home is the biggest corruption of society.
Society is a fundamental part of human life, and its strength depends on its individuals. If the members of society are moral, virtuous, and respectful, then that society moves on the path of progress and success. Especially the younger generation is the future of any nation, so if the youth are respectful and moral, then the formation of a strong and stable society becomes possible.
Respect is actually a mirror of a person's personality. It not only refines a person's morals but also civilizes their behavior, speech, and lifestyle. A respectful young person respects their parents, teachers, elders, and other members of society. They take care of the rights of others and abide by social norms. Such youth promote peace, love, and brotherhood in society.
Youth is the stage of life in which a person's thoughts, habits, and personality are formed. If young people are trained in respect, morality, and good behavior at this age, they can not only improve their own lives but also improve the entire society. Education plays a very important role in this regard. Educational institutions not only provide young people with bookish knowledge but also familiarize them with moral values and social responsibilities.
Respectful youth are the standard-bearers of positive change in society. They raise their voices against evils and promote goodness. They abide by the law and become an example for others. Such youth promote justice, equality, and tolerance in society, which makes society strong and stable.
On the contrary, if young people are rude, disrespectful, and irresponsible, they cause chaos, unrest, and corruption in society. Therefore, it is obligatory on parents, teachers, and other responsible members of society to guide the youth correctly and teach them respect and morality.
It can be said that only a respectful young person can lay the foundation of a strong society. If we pay attention to the training of our young generation and teach them good morals and respect, we can establish an ideal, peaceful, and developed society.
It is often seen that the root cause of the deterioration of society is the home environment. If the members of the household are righteous, then it is possible for the society to be righteous. The Holy Quran has identified the home as the basis for reforming society. The Quran does not place the responsibility of reforming only oneself on a Muslim, but also the effort to bring his family, his children, his relatives, and his family members to the right path. Allah Almighty says: "And warn your closest relatives." (O Muhammad, peace be upon him, warn your close family members of the punishment of Allah.) The tradition of all the prophets, besides Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, has been that they started the work of preaching with their families. Today, the rapid pace at which the new generation is moving towards waywardness, its effective cure should be in our homes.
A major reason for our deterioration today is that we have left our children to the currents of the times. If Muslims develop a significant passion for reforming their homes, then, God willing, many homes will be reformed, and a large majority of the new generation will come to the right path.
May Allah Almighty grant us all the ability and bestow upon us the correct understanding of religion. Amen, then Amen, O Lord of the Worlds.
