If you are doing good deeds but to show off to people, then this showing off (hypocrisy) is the bag with holes, as Allah Almighty says in the Holy Quran: فويل للمصلين ١_ الذين هم يراءون
Translation: Woe to those who pray for those who show off ._
(Surah Al-Ma'un)
If you perform ablution very well but waste a lot of water, then this is a bag with holes. You give charity to the poor and needy, then you remind them of your favor, hurt them, humiliate them, and even laugh at them, then this is a bag with holes.
As Allah says: لا تبطلوا صدقاتكم بالمن والأذي
Translation: Do not invalidate your charities by reminding of favor and hurting._
(Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse: 264)
You also fast, endure hunger and thirst, but then you also use abusive language and curses, then this is a bag with holes, because the purpose of fasting is to adopt piety and avoid sins. Women go to the market wearing perfume even after wearing an abaya over their clothes, then what is the benefit of such a veil? This is a bag with holes. You treat your guest with hospitality and kindness, but after they leave, you backbite and speak ill of them, then this is a bag with holes. You do good deeds but also cause harm to others, then this is a bag with holes because it is mentioned in the Hadith: المسلم من سلم المسلمون من لسانه ويده_
Translation: The best Muslim is the one from whose hands and tongue other Muslims are safe._
Save your good deeds from being wasted, which you collect with great difficulty, and then how easily you waste them. Be aware that Allah's Paradise is very precious, it will be attained after great sacrifices, so save every single good deed of yours so that you can become worthy of Paradise. Earning good deeds is very difficult, but it is very easy to waste them by following the devil._
Hypocrisy, reminding of favors, backbiting, and hurting others, and many other such actions are like a bag with holes that waste our good deeds._
It is not enough to just do good deeds, it is also necessary to protect them_!!
