The Sacrifice of the Martyrs of Palestine: A Shining Example
The history of the world is filled with sacrifices, the cries of the oppressed, and the tyranny of the oppressors, but there are some nations that, instead of bowing down to oppression, raise the banner of truth and righteousness by sacrificing their lives. One such great and dignified nation is the people of Palestine, who have faced oppression, coercion, siege, and bombardment for the past several decades, but have accepted the bargain of sacrificing their lives to protect their faith, religion, land, and freedom.
Background of Palestine: Palestine is the holy land which the Holy Quran has called "the Holy Land," where the prophets (peace be upon them) resided, and where Masjid al-Aqsa is located - which is the first Qibla of Muslims. Since the illegitimate establishment of Israel in 1948, the Palestinian people have been expelled from their homes, their lands have been occupied, and they have been subjected to continuous killings and destruction.
An Important Example of Sacrifice: The struggle of the Palestinian nation is not for any political purpose but for the protection of faith, land, and the first Qibla. The sacrifice of their martyrs will be written in golden letters in history:
1. Martyrdom of Innocent Children: The whole world has seen how innocent children have been targeted by bullets, bombings, and sieges. But these children not only remained steadfast but also amazed the world by considering martyrdom as their greatness - these brutal people did not even spare innocent children. Recently, a video went viral where about 200 rounds were fired at a little girl.
2. Bravery of Women: Palestinian mothers, while bidding farewell to their sons for martyrdom, say the words "Congratulations to you on martyrdom." Their daughters raise the voice of truth in the field, and their women have become a symbol of the spirit of Jihad.
3. Equal Sacrifice of Old and Young:
Whether old or young, every individual stands like a lead wall against the enemy. Elderly people are resisting with their sticks and young people with their bodies.
Why are these sacrifices great?
Based on Sincerity: Their struggle is not for any worldly benefit but only for the pleasure of Allah, the glory of Islam, and the awakening of the Ummah.
Resistance Even Unarmed: They are fighting against the enemy's modern weapons with stones, prayers, and patience.
Awakening the Ummah: Their sacrifices have awakened the entire Muslim Ummah from the sleep of negligence and highlighted the importance of the first Qibla to the world.
The Spirit of Martyrdom:
It is said in the Holy Quran:
> "And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision"
"Those who are killed in the way of Allah, do not consider them dead, they are alive, being provided for by their Lord."
This verse describes the greatness of the status of these Palestinian martyrs.
Responsibility of the Ummah: The sacrifices of the Palestinian martyrs are a message of awakening for all of us.
It is our responsibility to: Pray for them, raise our voice against the oppressor, help with our wealth and resources, and above all, establish unity. And keep praying fervently for them in the court of the Lord of Glory, and also pray for the strength of your faith like their faith.
The sacrifice of the Palestinian martyrs reminds us that living nations are those who fight for their rights, give their lives, but do not bow down. Their sacrifices will remain an example of honor, dignity, faith, and loyalty until the end of the world. May Allah exalt their ranks and grant us the ability to stand in support of religion, truth, and the oppressed.
