The love that Allah Almighty has for us is not because there is any virtue in us, but because we are His creation. In the story of Prophet Noah (peace be upon him), it is mentioned that he cursed his people, and the people were destroyed. After everything was over, Allah Almighty commanded him to go to a certain place and make clay pots for forty years. So he did. After that, he was commanded to break them all from one side. So he started breaking them, but he was very sad at heart. Allah Almighty said, "Did your heart ache a little from breaking them?" He replied, "My heart ached a lot." It was said, "Just like that, destroying My creation will be unpleasant for Me, just as the pots were made by you, so are the servants made by Me."
Look at the story of Qarun, he was saying, "O Musa, save me," and you were saying, "Take him, O earth, seize him." Until he completely sank into the earth. There was an address from Allah Almighty that if he had called out to Us even once, We would have saved him immediately.
