Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said that when my Ummah begins to hate its scholars, and starts raising and dominating the buildings of the markets, and marries for wealth (meaning that in marriage, instead of piety and righteousness, wealth will be considered), then Allah Almighty will inflict four types of punishments upon them:
1) There will be drought.
Oppression will occur from the king.
(3) The rulers will become treacherous.
(4) There will be successive attacks from enemies.
