Swimming is a very beneficial and healthy sport. It not only strengthens the body but also keeps a person active and energetic. Swimming in water is a natural exercise for humans that moves almost all the muscles of the body.

The greatest advantage of swimming is that it improves physical health. It strengthens the heart, increases breathing capacity, and creates freshness in the body. Doctors also often advise practicing swimming to stay healthy. People who swim regularly are generally healthier and stronger.

Swimming is also a useful skill. If someone knows how to swim, they can save themselves and others from accidents in the water.

Although the Holy Quran does not directly command swimming, Allah Almighty has encouraged man to gain strength and health. Allah Almighty says:

"وَأَعِدُّوا لَهُم مَّا اسْتَطَعْتُم مِّن قُوَّةٍ"

Translation: "And prepare against them whatever you are able of power."

According to scholars, strength includes physical strength and skills.

In the blessed Hadiths, encouragement has been given to learn certain sports and skills. A famous narration states that:

"عَلِّمُوا أَوْلَادَكُمُ السِّبَاحَةَ وَالرِّمَايَةَ وَرُكُوبَ الْخَيْلِ"

Translation: "Teach your children swimming, archery, and horse riding."

This Hadith shows that swimming is a useful skill that is beneficial to learn. Swimming not only strengthens the body but also gives a person courage, bravery, and agility.

In addition, in another Hadith, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

"المؤمن القوي خير وأحب إلى الله من المؤمن الضعيف"

Translation: "The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than the weak believer."

Although there is no clear verse in the Holy Quran

But the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him)

Has a blessed saying

And it is included in Al-Furusiyya
