Farewell, O beloved Ramadan, the eye is wet, but hope is alive.

Those beautiful moments of Ramadan cannot be forgotten, in which this month holds such spiritual sweetness and peace that it is felt much less in the rest of the year. When Ramadan departs, its memories leave a soft ache and sweet sadness in the heart. That time of Iftar, after a day of hunger and thirst, when the sound of the call to prayer melted into the ears, the heart involuntarily filled with gratitude. Even simple things on the table felt like blessings, and every morsel gave a special pleasure. It was not just the taste of food, but it included gratitude, patience, and a sense of Allah's blessings. Then that moment of Sehri, waking up in the silence of the night, leaving the sweetness of sleep to rise for the pleasure of Allah, created a different state. Every morsel eaten in Sehri gave not only the strength of the whole day but also a spiritual energy. The prayers and remembrance at that time gave strange peace to the heart, and those blessed rak'ahs of Taraweeh, the atmosphere of the mosque, the echo of the recitation of the Quran, and the humility of the worshippers, all together presented such a spiritual scene that is difficult to describe in words. In every rak'ah, the heart felt that it was getting closer to its Lord. The pleasure of reciting the Holy Quran was also something else. The recitation that is usually a part of the routine in ordinary days, in Ramadan, the same recitation felt like it was descending into the depths of the heart. Every verse seemed to address the heart directly and drew man's attention to his reformation. And above all, that way of pleasing Allah Almighty, sometimes tears would well up in prayer, sometimes repentance would come out of the heart, sometimes hands would be raised with hope. The humility and love with which a person bows before his Lord in Ramadan, that state is truly unparalleled. All these things together make Ramadan a month that is not only for worship but a complete experience that goes deep into the heart. When this month passes, it feels as if a beautiful spring of life has ended, but its fragrance remains in the heart. As the blessed hours of Ramadan move towards their end, a strange sadness and emptiness begin to arise in the heart. This is the month in which the soul finds peace, the heart finds light, and life gets a new direction. When this month is about to depart, it feels as if a very dear guest is leaving us. Ramadan is not just the name of hunger and thirst, but it is a month of patience, gratitude, worship, and self-accountability. In this month, we get closer to our Lord, ask for forgiveness for our mistakes, and pledge to improve our lives. When the last ten days come, we realize how quickly time has passed, and perhaps we could not do all that we should have done. The last Ramadan shakes us to review our deeds. Have we really fulfilled the rights of this month? Was there humility in our prayers? Did we read the Quran with understanding? Did we adopt an attitude of kindness and love towards others? These questions create a pang in the heart and bring tears to the eyes.
But this sadness does not bring despair but also a message of hope. The mercy of Allah Almighty is boundless. Even if we have been negligent, there is still time left. The last days and nights give us the opportunity to turn to our Lord, pray from the depths of our hearts, and make a firm intention to change our lives.
The separation of Ramadan also teaches us this lesson that we should not be limited to this month only, but we should make its blessings a part of our lives throughout the year. Making prayer, patience, charity, and good manners our habit is the real success.
In the end, when Ramadan departs from us, there is a prayer in the heart: O Allah Almighty, just as You have brought us to this Ramadan, keep us safe until the next Ramadan as well, and accept our deeds. This separation, although it saddens the heart, also gives us the courage for a new beginning. Ramadan goes, but its light should always remain in our hearts.
I pray to Allah Almighty to grant us the ability to make these memories a part of our lives and keep us safe until the next Ramadan. Amen, O Lord of the Worlds.
