Ancestors' Ramadan
Imam Mutarraf bin Abdullah (may Allah have mercy on him)
Imam Mutarraf bin Abdullah used to say that he was more concerned about whether his deeds were accepted or not, rather than performing more deeds. After Ramadan, he would remain engaged in praying for acceptance.
(Lataif al-Ma'arif)
Imam Malik bin Dinar (may Allah have mercy on him)
Imam Malik bin Dinar used to advise people after Ramadan that if your Ramadan went well, its effect should be visible in the rest of the year as well, because a sign of goodness is that more goodness is granted after it.
(Hilyat al-Awliya)
Imam Fudhail bin Ayaz (may Allah have mercy on him)
Fudhail bin Ayaz used to say that Allah Almighty only accepts the deeds of the pious, so a person should be more concerned about the acceptance of his deeds than the deeds themselves, especially after Ramadan.
