This is not the first strong blow to Israel.
........ Israel... In the true sense of the word, if anyone has struck a blow in the battlefield that has cast a question mark on its existence, it is Egypt.
Israel's war strategy has always been to overwhelm its rival with a sudden but very effective attack right from the start. It used the same tactic in the recent war as well. In the Sixty-Seven War, by using the same technique, it crushed the air forces of Egypt and Syria in the first attack, breaking the back of the Arabs. As a result, the Golan Heights, the land of Gaza, the West Bank and East Jerusalem fell into its lap like ripe fruit.
This strategy was also adopted against Israel twice, and both times it suffered losses. Hamas suddenly attacked it on October 7, which initially confused it, but in the true sense, this trick was tried very successfully by Egyptian President Anwar Sadat.
When the seventies began, Israel was satisfied under the illusion that the Arabs were still licking the wounds of the Sixty-Seven defeat. Egypt and Syria would not attack until they had formed an air force equal to Israel, but this was its delusion. This idea was basically given by Moshe Dayan, the hero of the Israeli nation, which proved utterly wrong on October 6, 1973, when Egyptian forces suddenly attacked the Israeli forces on the eastern bank of the Suez Canal. The attack included 240 aircraft, 2,000 tanks, 1,000 cannons and 2,000 missile launchers and anti-tank vehicles.
In the early moments of the war, Egypt paralyzed the enemy by destroying Israeli airports and planes. The Egyptian forces not only succeeded in pushing the enemy back from the eastern bank of the Suez Canal, but also ousted it from the Sinai Peninsula. In this war, 2656 Israeli soldiers were killed, 15,000 were injured and one thousand were taken prisoner, while 122 aircraft and 440 tanks were destroyed. In terms of results, this was a great victory for Egypt, which largely compensated for the grief that had befallen the Arabs in Sixty-Seven.
Pakistan also sent sixteen pilots to help Egypt and Syria, but a ceasefire had already been reached between Egypt and Israel before they arrived. However, Syria continued fighting during this time, so eight pilots participated in the war on behalf of Syria and also shot down several Israeli planes. 
The pressure on Israel in this war was so great that Defense Minister Moshe Dayan resigned during the war (although it was rejected). At the same time, seeing the sensitivity of the matter, he also advised the Prime Minister to use nuclear weapons against Egypt, which was rejected.
The aggressive strategy of Egypt had so unnerved the Israeli authorities that Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir revealed in an interview that she had started thinking about committing suicide during the war due to very discouraging circumstances.
This war shook the foundations of Israel. If America had not intervened, it was quite possible that the thorn named Israel would have been removed from the chest of the Middle East forever.
I am definitely happy with the current situation and praise Iran wholeheartedly (?), but do not forget history in the noise of praise. It is not that the Arabs have done nothing for Palestine. They have fought four very bloody wars. All the occupied territories around Israel are a tribute to these efforts. See the strangeness of time that when the Arabs were at war with Israel from Forty-Eight to Seventy-Three, Iran was counted among Israel's close friends.
