Respected readers, some time ago, Maulana Abdullah Salim Qamar Chaturvedi Sahib gave a statement in which, while discussing Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath "Fi Nar Jahannum Dakhilun," he said that "Gau Mata is Yogi Ji's mother." The background of this sentence is that Yogi Ji himself has repeatedly said on several occasions that "the cow is our mother." In this context, Maulana said this. There was no intention of any insult or wrong in it, but rather a reference to a well-known phrase. At that time, I had a fear in my heart that this statement of Maulana might become a cause of some misunderstanding or controversy. Unfortunately, something like this seems to be happening now. Instead of presenting Maulana's statement in its entirety, some Godi media outlets cut and edited some parts of it and broadcast it in such a way that the matter became controversial. Such a presentation created a wrong impression among the public and tried to put Maulana in trouble, which is not considered an appropriate course of action from the point of view of journalistic principles. Since then, some Godi media circles have been constantly highlighting this issue, and it seems as if an atmosphere is being created against Maulana, although the fact is that Maulana Abdullah Salim Qamar Chaturvedi Sahib is a well-known religious and social figure of our Seemanchal. A large number of people listen to his statements and benefit from his scholarly discussions. In such circumstances, it is the responsibility of all of us to pray for Maulana and remember him in our prayers. If anyone's heart has been hurt by Maulana's statement, then Maulana has also presented a clarification in this regard. Despite this, cases are being registered against him in different places, and in some places, his effigy has been made and burnt, which is certainly a regrettable matter. We also humbly appeal to the government that when a clarification has been presented on this matter, then instead of taking strict action, the matter should be viewed with justice and moderation. We may have little hope of complete justice from the government, but despite this, we request that instead of escalating this issue further, it should be resolved with wisdom and forbearance.
We should all, in any case, keep our word while remaining within the bounds of peace, patience, and the law, and demand justice. I pray to Allah Almighty to protect Maulana completely and keep us all on the path of truth and justice.
Aameen Ya Rabb Al-Aalameen
