Hazrat Ali Karam Allah Wajhu is a great and esteemed personality of Islam. He was the cousin and son-in-law of the Holy Prophet ﷺ. He was raised under the supervision of the Holy Prophet ﷺ, therefore, from childhood, he was blessed with high morals and excellent training. He is among those fortunate people who accepted Islam at a young age and served the religion of Islam in every situation.
Hazrat Ali (R.A.) was an embodiment of knowledge, bravery, piety, and justice. His bravery and courage hold a prominent place in the history of Islam. In many battles, he showed unparalleled courage and defended Islam firmly against the enemies. His bravery at Khyber is a shining example for the entire Ummah.
Hazrat Ali (R.A.) was also a great source of knowledge and wisdom. His sayings, advice, and decisions are still considered the best example of wisdom and insight. He never feared any critic in speaking the truth.
He also held a high position in asceticism and piety. He remained detached from worldly comforts and lived a simple life. His example is given in matters of justice and fairness. When he received the caliphate, he prioritized justice and honesty in every matter.
Hazrat Ali (R.A.)'s entire life was spent in serving the religion of Islam, upholding the truth, and helping the oppressed. He is loved and respected immensely in the hearts of Muslims. His life teaches us courage, knowledge, patience, justice, and piety. May Allah Almighty grant us the ability to follow the life of Hazrat Ali Karam Allah Wajhu. Amen.
The martyrdom of Hazrat Ali Karam Allah Wajhu is a very painful event in Islamic history. He came to the mosque of Kufa on the seventeenth of Ramadan al-Mubarak, forty Hijri, to offer the Fajr prayer. When he was leading the prayer, a Kharijite person, Abdul Rahman bin Muljim, struck his blessed head with a sword soaked in poison, causing him severe injuries.
After this attack, he remained injured for two days and finally attained the great status of martyrdom on the twenty-first of Ramadan al-Mubarak, forty Hijri. At that time, he was approximately sixty-three years old.
The martyrdom of Hazrat Ali Karam Allah Wajhu was a great shock for the Muslim Ummah. He was a great example of knowledge, bravery, asceticism, piety, and justice. May Allah Almighty shower His countless blessings on Hazrat Ali Karam Allah Wajhu and grant us the ability to follow his life. Amen.
