🌿 (An Amazing Incident of a Mufti) 🌿
A few months ago, a man came to see me. There was a relationship of love and devotion, but he was very worried that day. As soon as he sat down, he said:
"Mufti Sahib! Once my business was at its peak. Lakhs of income, car, luxuries... everything. Today, the business is the same, but there is no blessing left. The car has been sold, the debt is increasing, and it is difficult to make ends meet. I have heard that you do spiritual healing, see if there is any magic, blockage, or evil eye? Give me some amulet or prayer so that the previous conditions return."
Saying this, his eyes filled with tears.
I said, "Don't worry, I will blow on the utensils of your house, God willing, the blessing will return."
He was surprised and asked, "Should I bring the utensils to you or will you come to my house?"
I replied, "Neither will you bring the utensils, nor will I come home. Just take pictures of the utensils that are collected for washing in the kitchen for three days and bring them in your mobile on the fourth day. I will blow on them."
When I saw the pictures, there was some curry or food left in every utensil, which was being washed away into the drain.
I asked, "What happens to this leftover food?"
He said, "Obviously, it is washed away into the drain."
I said, "I will not blow on them."
He was shocked. When he asked the reason, I gave a brief answer:
"From today onwards, do not waste sustenance in this way. Put only as much food on the plate as you can eat. Clean the utensils while eating. Whatever is left over, give it to a poor person or feed it to animals, but do not throw it in the drain or garbage. Do not disrespect sustenance."
He promised that it would not happen again.
For his satisfaction, I also recited Surah Al-Fatiha 21 times and blew on the utensils so that his heart would be satisfied.
A few weeks later, he came to see me again. This time there was happiness on his face. He hugged me and started crying and said:
"Mufti Sahib! The business has recovered. Big orders are coming again. Your blowing has worked wonders!"
I smiled and said:
"This is not blowing, it is respect for sustenance. According to the teachings of the Holy Prophet ﷺ, disrespecting sustenance causes poverty. You started respecting sustenance, and the blessing returned automatically."
He resolved that he would never waste even a single particle of sustenance in his life. I said:
"If you really do that, then you will get a car and a bank balance too."
✨ Lesson:
Blessing is not only in earning, but in appreciation.
Respect sustenance... blessing finds its own way.
May Allah Almighty grant us the ability to appreciate sustenance and respect it.
