*The Veil of the Modern Era and the Command of Islam*
Today's topic is very important and a clear testament to the glory of Islam and the honor and dignity of women:
Islam has bestowed upon women the highest level of honor, chastity, and dignity, and has commanded the veil for their protection. The reality is that the veil is not just a garment or outward cloth, but a complete Islamic system of modesty through which women are protected from all kinds of trials, evil eyes, and social pollution. The religion of Islam has given women a great status in the sacred relationships of mother, sister, daughter, and wife, and as a requirement of this status, the veil has been made obligatory so that women can live their lives with their original identity and true nobility. The veil is not only a protector of a woman's chastity and honor but also a means of saving the entire society from sins and immorality, because the breakdown of a woman's dignity weakens social ethics and gives rise to trials. That is why the Quran and Hadith repeatedly emphasize the veil and associate it with faith and purity.
Allah Almighty says:
Meaning: O beloved ﷺ: And tell the believing women to lower their gaze, protect their chastity, and not reveal their adornment except what appears thereof, and to draw their veils over their chests.
Meaning: O Prophet ﷺ: Tell your wives, your daughters, and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks close round them (when they go abroad). That will be better, so that they may be recognised and not annoyed.
From these clear commands of Islam, it is as clear as day that the veil is not merely a custom or cultural tradition but a divine command that has been revealed to protect the honor and dignity of women. The veil is the greatest fortress of a woman's dignity, chastity, and modesty. If a woman adopts the Islamic veil in her dress and lifestyle, she not only protects herself from trials and evils but also maintains purity and peace in the entire society. The veil draws a line between men and women and thus keeps their relationships in moderation. In fact, a woman's beauty and her adornment are a precious trust from Allah for her, and the veil is the best means of protecting this trust.
The benefit of the veil is also that it not only prevents a woman from becoming a mere physical display but also elevates her to the heights of honor and dignity. A veiled woman protects herself from markets, the race for fashion, and the gazes of non-Mahram men. On the contrary, when the veil is ignored, not only does the woman lose her honor, but the entire society falls prey to immorality and indecency. The veil actually gives a woman her true freedom, a freedom that saves her from obscenity, sexual exploitation, and immoral gazes. That is why the Quran has declared the veil as a means of a woman's identity and her protection so that no wicked or ill-intentioned person can harm her, and the veil is not a burden or a prison or a hindrance to education and training, but a sign of a person's consciousness, because when people were unconscious, they were naked.
Now my question is to those girls who feel the veil is a burden, who say that we have been covered. You were uncovered when you lived in the forests, when there was no consciousness, intellect, education, training, and culture. When all this came, then the woman learned to cover herself and said, "Yes, we need to be covered more than men." So, know that the girls who do not want to wear the veil are truly devoid of consciousness, otherwise, consciousness has taught women to protect themselves...
*Is the veil of the modern era in accordance with the constitution of Islam?*
This is also an important point.
We are seeing in our society that many girls are seen in different fashion burqas, and such burqas whose appearance and identity create a strange atmosphere. Is this fashion called the veil? If we try to understand the Islamic constitution, it becomes clear that the burqa of the modern era seems to be opposing the constitution of Islam because the veil that Islam has commanded is not this, but it is that when a man sees it, he should not be attracted to it, but at this time the situation is completely different because so many fashion and identity burqas are running that men seem to be more attracted (Attraction) to it, and the reality is that the veil that Islam has commanded is not this veil. Islam has commanded such a veil that even an eighteen-year-old girl wears it, she should look old so that no man is attracted to her, but the problem is the opposite, now even an old woman looks young wearing a burqa, such designs that even a non-viewer sees, Islam has mentioned protection and preservation of trust, please keep it safe, otherwise remember you will be liable to punishment in the court of Allah.
Note: This is my opinion, if anyone has any disagreement, it is absolutely possible, but brother, you will have to tell me which veil Islam has commanded.
