Is Religion Just the Name of a Month?
This is a bitter truth that many people may shy away from accepting, but the reality is that a large number of Muslims today have practically become 'Ramadani Muslims'. We all know, and admit in our hearts, that our connection with Allah, the Quran, and the way of life taught by the Holy Prophet ﷺ is limited to Ramadan. For eleven months, we are indifferent to prayer, heedless of the Quran, distant from the Sharia, and immersed in sins. But as soon as Ramadan arrives, we suddenly become great worshippers, great pious individuals, and great religious people. What kind of duplicitous life is this? What kind of deception are we giving ourselves?
Just think! Can Allah be deceived? Will He be pleased with a few prostrations of our outward appearance, while our inner self remains immersed in disobedience, indecency, oppression, deceit, and sins throughout the year? Is this what it means to be part of the Ummah of the Holy Prophet ﷺ, that we spend the whole year in the servitude of Satan and become servants of Allah for one month? For God's sake! Have mercy on yourselves, have pity on your Hereafter, because this way of life is taking you straight to Hell.
Prayer, which is the pillar of religion, we have turned it into a game. Fasting, which was made obligatory to create piety, we have turned it into a mere ritual of hunger and thirst. The distinction between halal and haram has disappeared. Backbiting, gossiping, lying, deception, usury, bribery, lustful glances, envy, malice, and hatred have become part of our daily lives. We offer prayers and commit oppression, we recite the Quran and utter poison from our tongues, we fast and break hearts. What kind of Islam is this?
Remember! Allah's grip is very severe. When He seizes, neither wealth can save, nor power, nor intercession, nor any relationship. When His grip comes, the mind is amazed and the tongue becomes mute. The darkness of the grave, the questions of Munkar and Nakir, the horrors of the Day of Judgment, the sharpness of the bridge of Sirat, and the fire of Hell – these are all realities, not stories. If we still do not mend our ways, if we still do not make a sincere repentance, if we still do not make prayer, the Quran, and the Sharia a permanent part of our lives, then tomorrow our condition will be such that we will scream, cry, and plead, but there will be no one to listen.
There is still time! Come to your senses! Wake up from the sleep of negligence! Change your life! Otherwise, remember, whoever does not change today will regret the most tomorrow. Return to Allah, make a sincere repentance, otherwise Allah's grip will come in such a way that generations will remember it. These are not mere words, but a cry from a painful heart and a scream from a sincere well-wisher.

Ramadani Muslim
Becoming a 'Ramadani Muslim' is actually a very dangerous and destructive attitude for faith. It is a way of life in which a person spends the whole year in disobedience to Allah, but suddenly becomes a worshipper as soon as Ramadan arrives. This approach is not only against the spirit of religion but is also a kind of disrespect to Allah and self-deception. We think that by offering prayers for a few days, reciting a few parts of the Quran, and fasting for a few days, we have become free of responsibility, whereas the reality is quite the opposite.
Islam is not a religion of just one month, but it is a complete code of life. A person who abandons prayer for eleven months, remains detached from the Quran, remains immersed in haram, violates the rights of people, commits oppression, deceives, lies, and then suddenly becomes righteous in Ramadan is actually deceiving his own conscience, not Allah. Because Allah knows the state of hearts, is aware of intentions, and is watching our every action.
A 'Ramadani Muslim' actually turns worship into a ritual and religion into a habit. For them, prayer becomes a burden, the Quran becomes just a book of Ramadan, and piety is just a guest for a few days. This is why no real change is seen in their lives after Ramadan. Neither does their character change, nor do their morals improve, nor do their affairs become right. If our worship does not stop us from evil, then we should fear that this worship may only be outward.
Remember! This behavior is tantamount to inviting the wrath of Allah. Because Allah Almighty did not create us as Muslims so that we remain His for only one month, but so that we live our lives as His servants every moment. The person who does not understand this reality is in a great misunderstanding, and this misunderstanding will one day bring him to the brink of destruction.

Negligence in Prayer
Negligence in prayer is actually the clearest sign of the weakening of faith, and even its gradual disappearance. A person who deliberately abandons prayer is not just abandoning an act of worship, but he is breaking his relationship with his Lord. Prayer is the strong bond between Allah and His servant that prevents the servant from sins, protects him from evils, and keeps him on the straight path. When this bond weakens, a person becomes an easy prey for Satan.
Just think! The prayer that Allah has made obligatory five times a day, which the Holy Prophet ﷺ declared as the pillar of religion, about which the first question will be asked on the Day of Judgment – we have removed that very prayer from our lives. We have no concern for Fajr, no care for Zuhr, no thought for Asr, no longing for Maghrib, and no importance for Isha. There is time for the hustle and bustle of the world, business, mobile phones, entertainment, and frivolous activities throughout the day, but not a few minutes to stand before Allah.
This is not just laziness, it is serious negligence. It is the hardness of the heart. It is the weakness of faith. The heart that does not find peace in prayer, the forehead that does not feel pleasure in prostration, understand that layers of sins have accumulated on that heart. And when the heart dies, then advice also has no effect, sermons become useless, and the verses of Allah also become ineffective.
The consequence of abandoning prayer is very dangerous. It slowly pushes a person towards indecency, obscenity, oppression, deceit, lying, consuming haram, and all kinds of evil. Because prayer is the only power that prevents a person from evil. When this power is lost, Satan attacks with full force and plunges the person into the swamp of sins.
Remember! In the grave, neither wealth will be of any use, nor status, nor relationships, nor intercession – only prayer will be of any use there. The one who used to run away from prostration in the world will face such questions there that even the thought of them makes the hair stand on end. There is still time, bring prayer back into your life, otherwise it will be too late tomorrow.

Love of the World and Forgetfulness of the Hereafter
Today, the biggest reason for our destruction is the blind love of the world and the complete forgetfulness of the Hereafter. The world has become so ingrained in our hearts that Allah, the Prophet ﷺ, the Quran, and the Hereafter have all been left behind. From morning till evening, we are only engaged in earning, accumulating, increasing, showing off, and competing. The distinction between halal and haram has disappeared, there is no concern for what is permissible and what is not, just that wealth should come, no matter how it comes. This thinking slowly takes us away from religion and closer to Satan.
We have considered the world as everything and the Hereafter as nothing. We want a big mansion, a big car, a big position, a big name, and a big status, but we have no concern for the grave. We want expensive clothes, good food, a comfortable bed, but we cannot bear the hardship of prostration. We want people's applause, but we have no concern for Allah's pleasure. This is a blind race whose end is only regret, remorse, and destruction.
Remember! This world is a guest for a few days. What we have in our hands today will be in someone else's hands tomorrow. The palaces in which we are living with pride today, tomorrow we will be lying alone in two yards of land. Neither wealth will go with us, nor children, nor relationships, nor friends – only our deeds will go with us. But alas! Instead of making deeds, we have made making wealth our goal.
The love of the world has blinded our hearts to such an extent that we do not consider sins as sins. Lying has become normal, deception is part of business, taking and giving interest has become a fashion, bribery is considered a means of success, lustful glances are called entertainment, and indecency is called freedom. We commit sins while laughing and playing and think that everything is fine, whereas we are slowly destroying our Hereafter with our own hands.
Think! If death comes today, are we ready? Are our prayers complete? Are our obligations to people clear? Are our hearts free from malice, hatred, and envy? If the answer is no, then understand that we are in great danger. There is still time to remove the love of the world from our hearts and instill the concern for the Hereafter in our hearts, otherwise this world will deceive us in such a way that we will be in loss forever.

Life Immersed in Sins and Our Insensitivity
Today, our lives have sunk into such a swamp of sins that we do not even feel sins as sins. Our hearts have become so hard that they do not tremble even when seeing evil, they do not regret even after committing oppression, they do not awaken even after violating someone's right. We lie, we deceive, we backbite, we gossip, we envy, we harbor malice, we hold grudges, we cast lustful glances, we earn haram, and yet we consider ourselves good Muslims. What kind of insensitivity is this? What kind of deception are we doing to ourselves?
The most dangerous thing is that now we do not even feel ashamed of our sins. Before, when a sin was committed, the heart would tremble, the eye would become moist, the thought of repentance would arise, but today we laugh after committing sins, we take pride in them, and we consider it cleverness. This is the place where a person becomes very far from guidance and very close to destruction. When remorse disappears from the heart, then understand that faith is in danger.
Our tongues are quick to inflict wounds, our hands are fearless in committing oppression, our eyes are accustomed to seeing haram, and our ears have become fond of listening to frivolous and obscene things. Mobile phones have brought sin into our grasp. In a few moments, everything is seen that darkens the heart, weakens the faith, and kills the soul. But alas! We have no fear, no shame, no concern for the Hereafter.
Remember! Being stubborn about sins is tantamount to inviting the wrath of Allah. The person who commits sins again and again and still does not mend his ways, the doors of mercy slowly begin to close on him, and the ability to receive guidance is taken away. Then neither sermons have any effect, nor advice is of any use, nor does the Quran shake the heart. This is the greatest punishment that a person remains insensitive even after hearing the truth.
There is still time! Come out of this swamp of sins! Revive your heart! Make a sincere repentance! Shed tears! Plead before Allah! Otherwise, these sins will take us to such a place where there will only be regret, screams, and eternal torment.

Repentance and Returning to Allah
Although our condition has become very bad, Allah's mercy is still open for us. It is His boundless grace that He gives us the opportunity to repent despite the piles of sins, invites us to return, and calls us to Himself again and again. Remember! As long as there is breath, the door of repentance is not closed. But this door will not remain open forever. A moment will come when the deadline will expire, and then only regret will remain.
Sincere repentance is not just saying "Astaghfar" with the tongue, but it is the name of remorse from the heart, a firm resolve to abandon sin, a sincere intention not to do it again, and practical change. Repentance means that we correct our prayers, connect our relationship with the Quran, learn the distinction between halal and haram, fulfill the rights of people, purify our tongue, eyes, ears, and heart from sins, and mold our lives according to the way of Allah and His Messenger ﷺ.
The real Islamic life is the one in which our getting up, sitting down, sleeping, waking up, earning, eating, speaking, and remaining silent are all for the pleasure of Allah. The life in which the call to Fajr pulls us out of bed and takes us into prostration, the Quran becomes the voice of our heart, the heart begins to hate haram, and sin pricks us like thorns. This is the life that is beloved to Allah, and this is the path that leads to Paradise.
If we change ourselves today, then Allah will change our destiny tomorrow. If we wash away our sins with our tears today, then Allah will illuminate our book of deeds with His mercy tomorrow. But if we still procrastinate today, if we still remain in negligence, if we still limit religion to Ramadan only, then there is a fear that we may not get the opportunity tomorrow that we are undervaluing today.
There is still time! Arise! Return to your Lord! Make a sincere repentance! Make prayer the foundation of your life! Make the Quran your companion! Make religion your motto! Because whoever bows down at Allah's door today will be the most successful tomorrow, and whoever remains arrogant and negligent today will be the most loser tomorrow.
