The month of Ramadan brings with it a message of complete mercy, forgiveness, and blessings. Every moment of this month holds goodness, and the reward for every deed is multiplied many times over. One of these blessed deeds is Sehri. Usually, we say, "Come, eat Sehri," but if we say "Come, eat the food of blessing", then a new state of spirituality, awareness, and purpose is created in this sentence.
Sehri is not just eating but preparing for worship. It is the moment when a person wakes up in the silence of the night and obeys the command of his Lord. Eating Sehri is the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ, and it contains goodness and blessing. That is why it is not correct to consider it just an ordinary breakfast, but it is a source of blessing that gives strength and perseverance to the fast of the whole day. When we say "Eat the food of blessing", we actually highlight the spirit of this act. Blessing does not only mean abundance, but also sufficiency in less, peace of mind, and the inclusion of goodness in action. A morsel of Sehri may seem ordinary, but if the intention is pure, that same morsel gives strength to the body and freshness to the soul. The prayer at this time is close to acceptance, and these moments are the time of the descent of Allah Almighty's special blessings.
Furthermore, the choice of words is also part of training. When we say to our family members, especially children, "Come, eat the food of blessing" , we awaken in their minds the awareness that the deeds of Ramadan are not just rituals but a means of obtaining the grace of Allah. Thus, an ordinary sentence becomes a cause of refreshing faith and cultivating religious awareness.
So we should not consider Sehri as just a physical need but as a spiritual asset. Come, let us also make our tongues blessed and raise this voice with love in our homes: "Come, eat the food of blessing" so that our words also become a source of reward and our deeds are also filled with blessings.
