Sayyidah Tayyiba Tahira Khatoon-e-Jannat Fatima-tuz-Zahra (may Allah be pleased with her) Day of Passing*
When we remember the Day of Passing of Khatoon-e-Jannat, Sayyidah Tayyiba, Sayyidah Zahida, Sayyidah Abida, Sayyidah Kamila, Umm-e-Abiha, Batool-e-Azra, Tahira and Mutahhara Hazrat Fatima Zahra (may Allah be pleased with her), our hearts become filled with devotion, our eyes bow with respect, and our souls are illuminated with the light of love. She is that sacred and revered personality who was nurtured in the lap of mercy of the Crown of the Universe ﷺ himself, who was the light of the eyes, the beloved, the piece of liver, the fragment of the heart, and the peace of mind of the beloved of God ﷺ. You are that dignified daughter who was given the title of *Umm-e-Abiha*, meaning the consoler and comforter of her esteemed father. Your upbringing took place in the shadow of revelation, you blossomed in the light of prophethood, you exuded fragrance in the scent of messengership, and you grew up in an atmosphere of purity and chastity. You are the leader of the women of Paradise, the queen of asceticism and contentment, the embodiment of worship and devotion, the symbol of modesty and chastity, the example of patience and perseverance, the image of sacrifice and loyalty, and the bright lamp of piety and purity. Your life is a message of modesty for the daughters of every era, a standard of upbringing for every mother, an example of loyalty for every wife, and a beacon of light for the entire Ummah. When your name comes, respect awakens in hearts, tongues become fragrant with blessings and peace, and faith is renewed. Indeed, you are not only a great daughter but also the honor of religion, the dignity of Islam, and the spiritual mother of the Ummah, whose character will remain a lamp of guidance until the Day of Judgment.
*Piety and Fear of Allah* Your piety was so high that you would stand in worship at night, tears would flow from your eyes, and prayer would be on your tongue. You would pray less for yourself and more for the Ummah. When you were asked why you prayed for others first, you said: First the neighbor, then one's own home. This was your heart, which was full of sacrifice and goodwill. *Worship and Devotion* Your worship had sincerity, your prostrations had weeping, and your prayer had humility. Along with household chores, raising children, and serving her husband, your heart was always engaged in the remembrance of Allah. Your hands would get injured from grinding the mill, but no complaint would come on your tongue. This patience, this contentment, this devotion is still a beacon for believers today.
*Asceticism and Contentment* There were many days when the stove would not be lit in your house, but you never showed any desire for the world. You considered this world as a traveler's inn and the hereafter as the real destination. Simplicity was your glory, modesty was your ornament, and contentment was your capital. That is why the world did not crown you, but Paradise crowned you. *Perseverance and Patience* You saw the hardships of Mecca, endured the difficulties of Sha'b Abi Talib, suffered the pain of the atrocities committed against your esteemed father ﷺ, and then the grief of his passing as well, but in every situation, you held on to patience and perseverance. Your life teaches us that trials do not weaken faith but strengthen it.
*The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: فَاطِمَةُ سَيِّدَةُ نِسَاءِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ* Fatima is the leader of the women of Paradise. In another place, he said: *فَاطِمَةُ بَضْعَةٌ مِنِّي، فَمَنْ أَغْضَبَهَا أَغْضَبَنِي* Fatima is a piece of my liver, whoever angers her angers me. These words truly translate the high position that Allah Almighty has bestowed upon Hazrat Fatima Zahra (may Allah be pleased with her). Your greatness is not only based on lineage, but also on your character, worship, piety, and noble morals. Surely you are the piece of liver and the light of the eyes of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, but your glory is much wider than that. You are the honor of religion, because your life presented the practical beauty of Islam to the world. The house in which you opened your eyes was the center of revelation, but you never made this relationship a source of pride, but rather made humility and service your motto. You showed that religion is not just a matter of words but of action, patience, and sacrifice.
You are a symbol of chastity, because your modesty, purity, and veiling are a role model for the women of Islam until the end of the world. There was seriousness in your speech, modesty in your eyes, and a glimpse of purity in your character. You gave women the status that she can be the queen of the house and also the embodiment of piety. You are an example of purity, because your exterior was also pure and your interior was also illuminated with light. There was no love of the world in your heart, but a desire for the pleasure of Allah. Your prostrations were full of sincerity, your prayers were wet with tears, and your life was a practical example of obedience to Allah. In other words, the respect of a daughter, the loyalty of a wife, the compassion of a mother, the fear of an worshiper, and the contentment of an ascetic were all combined in your being. That is why when your mention comes, devotion bows in hearts and tongues become fragrant with blessings and peace.
*Message of the Day of Passing* Your passing occurred a few months after the passing of the Holy Prophet ﷺ. Your separation was a grief for the Ummah, but your character is still alive today. Your Day of Passing reminds us that true success is not in the glitter of the world but in piety, worship, patience, and the pleasure of Allah. May Allah Almighty grant us the love of Sayyidah Fatima Zahra (may Allah be pleased with her), may He create some part of her piety, worship, asceticism, and perseverance in our lives as well, and may He grant us a place in her special proximity on the Day of Judgment, Ameen Ya Rabb-ul-Alameen Bi Jah-in-Nabi Al-Kareem ﷺ
