Sin's first step is finding explanations for one's mistakes.

If there is any most difficult task for a human, it is to admit one's own mistake. Allah has given man the sense to recognize between right and wrong, but when he himself makes a mistake, he starts looking for thousands of excuses to satisfy himself before others. He starts explaining to himself that I did not do it intentionally, my intention was not bad, this is just the first time, I will not do it again in the future, etc.
But remember, these small slips gradually become a habit. Sin does not suddenly appear before us as a big thing, but gradually dominates our thoughts.
Man usually looks for interpretations when his heart starts to incline towards a desire and his conscience is stopping him. Instead of admitting that what I am going to do is wrong, he looks for such excuses and sentences that give him temporary peace and satisfaction, and this is the real time when a person's faith begins to weaken and carnal desires win here.
For example, when a person lies, he knows that lying is one of the major sins, but instead of considering this temporary situation as a test from Allah, he starts thinking that I lied only to handle the situation, I did not speak for my own good, I only spoke to please the other person, and keeping others happy is also the identity of Islam, if I had told the truth now, the matter would have worsened, this is the last time I spoke, I will not speak from now on.
In this way, he keeps looking for interpretations to satisfy his heart, even though he himself knows that what he did was not right at all. When we start finding interpretations for a mistake instead of admitting it, sin starts to seem easy.
In the eyes of Allah, the real evil is not making a mistake, but stubbornly sticking to one's mistakes. The person who starts looking for interpretations after making a mistake is ruined, and the one who puts his ego behind him and admits his mistake is considered forgivable in the eyes of Allah. Admitting mistakes is not a weakness but the first step towards improvement.
Come
!Let us all take stock of our hearts instead of looking for interpretations, admit our mistakes and accept the truth, avoid big sins by leaving small mistakes, ask Allah for forgiveness and promise that it will not happen again in the future, if we make it a habit to admit our mistakes instead of hiding them, then this attitude can save us from evil.
