Ramadan al-Mubarak, a great gift from the Lord of Majesty.
Ramadan al-Mubarak is a very great month of God Almighty. There is goodness and blessings in the month of Ramadan. It is a month of renewal of worship and faith. Ramadan al-Mubarak is a month for Muslims to seek the pleasure of their Lord through worship and asceticism. As soon as the month of Ramadan arrives, the atmosphere of the whole world becomes illuminated. A wave of joy runs through the hearts of the believers and the entire Islamic world, and all mornings and evenings become illuminated and lively. The festivities of Sehri and Iftar, the remembrance of nights, worship, Taraweeh and Qiyam al-Layl further enhance the splendor of this month, and then the reward received makes every Muslim's heart happy. In Ramadan al-Mubarak, Allah Almighty has promised to increase the reward for every deed.
In short, Ramadan al-Mubarak is specific to the act and duty whose name is fasting. Fasting is actually the name of abstaining from eating, drinking and one's carnal desires for the pleasure of Allah. Fasting is the third and important pillar of the religion of Islam. Fasting is obligatory on every sane, adult Muslim, resident and healthy person. Fasting is an act of worship that a person does only for Allah. It is mentioned in the Hadith that Allah Almighty says, "Fasting is for Me and I will reward it." Fasting is not only an act of worship but it also has many medical benefits. Medical experts say that when a person stops his body from eating and drinking for a few hours, this stopping improves his body's internal system, i.e. the digestive system and the immune system, and this is a very useful process for human health.
Through fasting, a person develops the feeling of gratitude for the blessings bestowed by God. Through fasting, a person becomes accustomed to killing and weakening his nafs (ego) and preventing it from bad influences because it is human nature that when the stomach is full, there is more inclination towards wrong deeds, while an empty stomach makes human desires fade.
God Almighty has made the structure of fasting in such a way that it paves the way for good deeds and prevents from the path of evil, but the effects of fasting and its good atmosphere work only when the fast is observed with all its etiquettes and prescribed precautions, that the pleasure and satisfaction of God Almighty is intended in it, and that there is complete caution and avoidance from the things that are forbidden in fasting, and that there is an abundance of good deeds, i.e. Nafl prayers, recitation of the Holy Quran and remembrance of Allah etc.
Apparently, fasting is the name of abstaining from eating, drinking and carnal desires from dawn to dusk, but along with this, fasting is also the name of abstaining from backbiting, false statements, slander, cursing and bad deeds done with hands and tongue. Therefore, it is mentioned in the Hadith whose meaning is that "The one who fasted and abstained from eating and drinking, but did not abstain from backbiting, lying and bad deeds, then what was the need for him to remain hungry and thirsty?"
Ramadan al-Mubarak is also called the month of the Quran along with the month of fasting. In the Holy Quran, Allah Almighty says, "The month of Ramadan in which the Quran was revealed." It is known that the month of Ramadan has a very deep connection with the Quran. In Surah Qadr of the Holy Quran, it is said that "We revealed the Quran on the Night of Power." The Holy Quran is a book of guidance for the children of Adam. The Holy Quran is the one that differentiates between truth and falsehood. The Holy Quran is such a lofty word that if it were revealed on a mountain, it would tremble and shatter into pieces, but Allah has favored the children of mankind for their benefit and guidance that He has revealed the Holy Quran in such a way that man is carrying it. Regarding the greatness of this lofty word, Allah Almighty chose this luminous month, and this month became more luminous with the revelation of the Quran. The month of Ramadan and the gratitude for this great book bestowed by the Lord of Majesty and the favor of the Lord of the Worlds through worship in such a way that it became a time of training for gratitude and worship, and this month was made a period of training, i.e. in the month of Ramadan, opportunities for worship and obedience are continuously available, and practice and training are also done by doing good deeds again and again. Just as the reward of all deeds has been increased in the month of Ramadan, similarly the reward of the believer is increased for reciting the Holy Quran. The meaning of the Hadith is that "The reward of every good deed is increased from ten times to seven hundred times." And reading and listening to the Holy Quran in the Taraweeh prayers of Aqsam al-Layl is a further cause of reward.
In Ramadan al-Mubarak, by the command of God Almighty, the devils are imprisoned. The devils whose job is to prevent man from doing good deeds and to encourage him to do evil deeds, in this blessed month, the devils are imprisoned and prevented from their tyrannical work, as a result of which the good deeds of those who do good deeds increase and the inclination of those who do evil deeds towards evil decreases. Since man is a combination of nafs and carnality, sometimes the human nafs moves to do many evils and the devil only encourages, not makes a complete effort. Now, since the devil is imprisoned in the month of Ramadan, the evils of man decrease, and then the mistakes or evils that occur are due to the influence of the nafs.
The month of Ramadan al-Mubarak is the month of piety and abstinence. It should be remembered that piety is not the name of worship, but the name of a temperament. Worship is different, and piety is different, i.e. a person should worship, but in worldly circumstances, in a state of anger, his worship should be ignored, this is not piety. It is like training a cat for a period of time and training it, but when a mouse comes in front, then all the training is left behind and the passion inside it comes out and dominates its training and all the hard work is wasted. Similarly, the meaning of Ramadan al-Mubarak is not to silently worship and practice asceticism, remembrance and performance of Nafl for a month, but as soon as Ramadan is over, then the same old state,
Maulana Abdul Qadir Dehlvi Sahib has explained the meaning of piety as "consideration" and consideration does not mean temporary emotions but the thought of always.
In short, Ramadan al-Mubarak is a great gift from God, the One and Only, and a great religious wealth for Muslims and the Islamic world, from which the Ummah of Muhammad (peace be upon him) gets various kinds of benefits. Along with the performance of worship, many aspects of the lives of Muslims go through the process of reform and correction. The best opportunities for mutual sympathy, compassion and the correct functioning of human feelings are obtained. Therefore, after spending the month of Ramadan al-Mubarak in the correct way, the Muslim comes out purified from the state of negligence and human malice through the magnificent performance of worship because the believer avoids those deeds in Ramadan which remove good deeds. Therefore, a person should spend the month of Ramadan al-Mubarak with all the etiquettes and commandments. Just as a person needs an annual medical or training camp for his life so that he remains healthy throughout the year with the attention and action given in it, similarly the month of Ramadan al-Mubarak is also the same. Whatever good deeds and good morals, remembrance and recitation have been arranged in Ramadan al-Mubarak, they should be arranged throughout the year. Appreciate this great gift of God, the One and Only, and pray that Allah Almighty grants the ability to worship and practice asceticism fully in Ramadan al-Mubarak and make this Ramadan a means of salvation from Hell and the torment of the grave for us and make fasting, recitation of the Holy Quran a proof for us, not that it becomes a proof against us..................
