Today, I had the opportunity to visit the historical and world-renowned Charminar in Hyderabad Deccan. This visit was not just for sightseeing, but to closely observe the invaluable masterpieces of nature, history, and human effort that have stood with their magnificence for centuries. Looking at Charminar, my heart was filled with gratitude that Allah Almighty has bestowed upon humans such capabilities through which such great buildings came into existence, which are still bearing witness to history.
I also had the honor of visiting the ancient and magnificent Mecca Masjid, located very close to Charminar. The spiritual atmosphere, its vastness, and its historical background give a special peace and joy to the heart. Thinking about it, faith is renewed that this mosque, built hundreds of years ago, is not only still standing but also remains a center of worship for millions of Muslims.
The area around Charminar appeared extremely busy as always. A huge crowd of women and men, and walking was also feeling quite difficult. This scene is evidence that Charminar holds extraordinary attraction not only for local people but also for tourists coming from within the country and abroad. People come from far and wide to see this beautiful blend of nature, history, and culture.
Whoever sees Charminar once, their heart desires to see it again and again because it is not just a building but such a masterpiece of beauty, history, and attraction that draws the viewer towards itself. Indeed, Charminar is a very beautiful and captivating palace.
However, during this pleasant observation, one thing caused considerable pain to the heart. I remembered that when I observed Charminar in 2017, there was a small idol placed in one of its corners, but today when I reached there again, I saw that the idol has now taken a considerably larger shape. Seeing this situation, the apprehension arises that somewhere in the future, this matter may not escalate to the extent that the historical and cultural status of Charminar gets affected. History is witness to the fact that in our country, many ancient mosques have been snatched from us through various pretexts and deceptions. Although in Hyderabad Deccan, generally, an atmosphere of Hindu-Muslim brotherhood and peace prevails, and communal tension is relatively less seen here, but it is not possible to say anything with certainty about the future. Allah knows best when and how the circumstances change.
In the end, a prayer comes out from the heart that Allah Almighty protect all the mosques and religious places of our country, grant us the ability to live with mutual peace, tolerance, and understanding, and keep us always steadfast on the religion of Muhammad (peace be upon him).
