, Addition to Sharia and its Seriousness,
Dear Esteemed Readers!
Today we are facing such a tribulation that has taken two forms, although perhaps the first form is due to the passion of faith.
The first aspect is that an impolite person targeted 80 percent of the scholars with his poisonous tongue. These are the same scholars whom the Messenger of Allah ﷺ declared as the inheritors of the prophets. Criticizing them is actually an attack on the root of religion, this blasphemy is an insult to the entire Ummah.
And the second aspect of this tribulation is that the same mentality has invented a new heresy in religion, which is being called "Milad al-Nabi's prayer". There is no mention of it in the Quran, nor in the Hadith, nor did the Companions and Tabi'in adopt it, nor did the Imams allow it. This is not just a deviation but tantamount to denying the announcement of the completion of the religion of Islam.
Alas! This heresy has also appeared at the hands of the one who has been making his identity by targeting the scholars from the beginning, and now he has come out to mislead the Ummah by hiding in the guise of "Maslak-e-Ala Hazrat".
Remember! Blasphemy and heresy are both paths to hell. It is the duty of the Ummah to reject this tribulation with a civilized and strong voice and hold on to the original religion.
Praise be to Allah, the religion of Islam is a complete and protected Sharia from Allah Almighty. It is clearly stated in the Holy Quran:
> "AL-YAUMA AKMALTU LAKUM DINAKUM WA ATMAMTU ALAIKUM NI'MATI WARADITU LAKUM AL-ISLAMA DINA"
(Al-Ma'idah: 3)
Today I have perfected your religion for you and completed my favor upon you, and I have approved Islam for you as a religion.
This divine announcement is clear proof that there is no room for any kind of addition, subtraction, increase or decrease in religion.
Condemnation of Heresy
The Holy Prophet ﷺ said:
> "MAN AHDASTA FI AMRINA HAZA MA LAYSA MINHU FAHUWA RADDUN"
(Bukhari and Muslim)
Whoever invents something new in our religion that is not part of it, it is rejected.
Similarly, it is said in another narration:
> "WAIYYAKUM WA MUHDATHATIL UMURI FAINNA KULLA BID'ATIN DALALATUN"
(Abu Dawood and Tirmidhi)
Beware! Of new things (heresies), because every heresy is a deviation.
The way of the Companions
Syedna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say:
> "NAHNU QAUMUN AAZZANALLAHU BIL ISLAMI FAMAHMA ABTAGHAINAL IZZATA BIGHAIRIHI AZALLANALLAH"
(Hakim, Mustadrak)
We are the nation that Allah has given honor through Islam, now if we seek honor in anything else, Allah will humiliate us.
The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) would not tolerate even a slight increase or decrease in religion. Protecting the religion was the biggest duty in their eyes.
Sayings of the Scholars
Imam Malik (may Allah have mercy on him) has a famous saying:
> "MANI IBTADA'A FIL ISLAMI BID'ATAN YARAHA HASANATAN FAQAD ZA'AMA ANNA MUHAMMADAN ﷺ KHANAL RISALAH"
(Al-I'tisam Lilshatibi)
Whoever invents a new heresy in Islam and considers it good, then he has assumed that Muhammad ﷺ betrayed the message.
Similarly, Imam Shatibi (may Allah have mercy on him) says:
> "Heresy is an addition to religion, whether it is an action or a belief, and this addition is actually an insult to religion."
New "Prayer" in the name of Milad al-Nabi ﷺ
If a person invents a prayer in religion that the Holy Prophet ﷺ did not offer, the Rightly Guided Caliphs did not adopt, neither the Companions, nor the Tabi'in, nor the four Imams mentioned it, then that action is against the religion and rejected. Its name is "Milad al-Nabi's prayer" or whatever, in reality it is an addition to the Sharia.
This is not just a mistake but an open mockery of religion.
If such people do not repent immediately with humility and remorse, then it is a commission of heresy and blasphemy, and it is obligatory on the Ummah to deny it with a civilized and effective language and pen for their reformation.
, Responsibility of the Ummah,
It is said in the Quran:
> "WATA'AWANU ALA AL-BIRRI WATTAQWA WA LA TA'AWANU ALA AL-ITHMI WAL'UDWAN"
(Al-Ma'idah: 2)
Help one another in righteousness and piety, and do not help one another in sin and transgression.
Therefore, every Muslim, no matter which sect he belongs to, is obliged to deny those who add to the religion in a scholarly and civilized manner and call them to repentance.
, Conclusion,
The religion is complete, adding or subtracting from it is absolutely forbidden.
Heresy is a deviation and deviation leads to hell.
The Companions and Imams strongly rejected heresy.
It is the responsibility of the Muslim Ummah to deny heresy without discrimination of sect and religion.
If someone does not repent, it is a big mistake to take it lightly.
May Allah Almighty grant us the ability to hold on to the religion in its original form, avoid heresies and reject falsehood.
. Amen.
