Western Rajasthan has been witnessing attempts to disrupt communal harmony and sacrifice the region to saffron politics for quite some time. Ever since the ruling party came to power, the morale of communalists is sky-high.
Two years ago, probably on the occasion of Ram Navami, the peace of Jodhpur city was disrupted during a procession. In various Muslim-majority areas of the city, attempts have been made to find justification for illegal bulldozer operations, sometimes under the guise of encroachments and sometimes under the pretext of illegal houses.
In recent days, similar news has been heard from Barmer. And now the recent case of Pokhran.
If this case is carefully examined, it will be known how clumsily this issue was used as a shield to satisfy their malice.
All this is not done in a single day; rather, it is backed by years of planning.
In this regard, we ourselves need to consider certain points.
Firstly, as it has been heard, the individuals who are accused and apprehended in this case are the same people who used to point fingers at the disunity within the Muslim ranks to the current Member of the Legislative Assembly of the Pokhran constituency and claimed to support him fully and make him victorious. But at this time, very tragically, the same Netaji played the most important role in bringing them to this point. One thing is clear from this: the communal forces that are not tolerant of giving you a single ticket at the national level, you should not expect any good from them even at the local level. Rather, in some respects, they are more dangerous to their friends and followers than to their enemies.
The second most important thing to note here is how far the communal minds in this area can go. We have seen this from the arson near Darul Uloom Pokhran, an institution that is the heartbeat of thousands and millions of hearts, and the demolition in the ancient cemetery, that the legislature and administration in the saffron administration are not the names of two separate institutions; rather, they are the joint form of one mind and one body. Therefore, we should still come together on a joint national and political platform instead of being divided into our small, different units. Political unity is very important in an area where saffron politics players are ready to swallow your entire community at once, considering it an easy morsel.
