*A Mother's Rare Upbringing*
A Quran teacher, while narrating an extremely instructive incident, says:
That a child came to me who was very eager to get admission in the madrassa.
I asked him: Child! Do you remember any part of the Quran by heart? The child said: Yes.
I tested him and said: Then recite the 30th Para to me.
He recited the 30th Para to me by heart.
I asked: Do you also remember Surah Al-Mulk?
He recited Surah Al-Mulk to me as well.
I was very surprised that this young child had memorized some part of the Holy Quran despite his young age.
I asked him to recite Surah An-Nahl, and he remembered that too.
The more he answered my questions, the more my surprise grew.
I thought that now I should ask him about the bigger Surahs. I said: Do you also remember Surah Al-Baqarah?
He answered in the affirmative and recited Surah Al-Baqarah by heart without any mistakes.
I asked in amazement: Child! It seems that you have memorized the entire Quran?
He said: Yes. As soon as I heard this, the words Subhan Allah, MashaAllah, Tabarak Allah spontaneously started coming out of my mouth with joy.
I said to him: Come to my office tomorrow and bring your guardian with you.
After the child left, I remained immersed in a sea of wonder and amazement, and I kept thinking to myself that surely his father must be a follower of religion, of good character, and have a deep love for the Quran, as a result of which he made his child memorize the Quran at such a young age.
I was severely shocked when he brought his father the next morning, because his father did not look like a follower of the Sunnah and Sharia at all from his outward appearance.
The child's father sensed my anxiety and amazement and immediately said: I know that you are surprised and bewildered because I am this child's father. I will put an end to your surprise now. The truth is that behind this child's memorization of the Quran is the hand of his mother, who is equal to a thousand men in terms of raising children.
You will be even more surprised to hear that I have three sons and all of them are Hafiz of the Quran.
My youngest daughter is four years old and she has also memorized the 30th Para.
My amazement had reached its peak. I asked: How is this possible!! How did a four-year-old girl memorize the 30th Para?!
He replied: The mother of the children's method is that when the child starts speaking, she starts making him memorize the Quran and instilling in him the passion for memorizing the Quran.
She makes the children compete and says that whoever memorizes this Surah first, the dinner will be made according to his choice.
Whoever memorizes the Para first, we will go to his favorite place on the weekend.
Whoever finishes the Quran first, we will spend the annual holidays in the area of his choice.
Thus, children actively participate in memorizing the Quran in order to fulfill their respective passions.
Yes, such virtuous mothers adorn the home.
Remember! A virtuous and righteous woman is not half of society, but rather the foundation and pillar of society.
The mothers of my Ummah need to become an Ummah in order to provide society with useful and religiously enlightened individuals. If mothers resolve to become an Ummah, then nothing can stop the nation from reaching its peak.
