Gaza's land is still bathing in blood. Those streets where the sounds of prayers once echoed, are today filled with the smell of rubble and gunpowder. On one side are innocent young children whose eyes held dreams, those dreams are buried in smoke today. On the other side are mothers who are breastfeeding a child with one hand and holding the shroud of a martyred son with the other.
But the biggest tragedy is that these scenes are not just of Gaza, they are mirrors of the Ummah. They are telling us that the enemy is doing its job, but where do we stand?
We see these news every day, shed two tears from our eyes, say a regretful sentence, and then get lost in our busy lives. As if we have made Gaza just a "headline". But do we know that this silence is also a crime in the eyes of Allah?
The Quran has given us a clear command:
وَإِنِ اسْتَنصَرُوكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ فَعَلَيْكُمُ النَّصْرُ (الأنفال: 72)
"If they seek your help in the matter of religion, then it is obligatory on you to help them."
Today the children of Gaza are asking for help, the women of Gaza are crying out, but we… we are just spectators.
The enemy's bombs can wound our bodies, but the real wound is on our soul — the soul that has died. We have made the world our everything, and put the pain of the Ummah behind us. The tragedy of Gaza reminds us that the real problem is not the destruction there but the negligence here.
If we do not reflect on our condition today, then remember! The same time may come upon our generations as well, and perhaps tomorrow our daughters will also be crying out under the rubble and the world will be standing silent.
We cannot take up arms, but we have the weapon of prayer. We cannot go to the battlefield, but we can support the truth through our pen, tongue, and character. We are not sitting in the halls of politics, but we can bow down in the court of Allah and pray, and this is the greatest power.
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
"المؤمن للمؤمن كالبنيان يشد بعضه بعضاً"
"The believer to the believer is like a building whose parts enforce each other." (Bukhari and Muslim)
If we do not become support today, then at what level of faith are we?
The children of Gaza are not saying to us to fight for them… rather they are saying:
"We have paid the debt of the Ummah with our blood, now you leave your negligence and come alive."
This message is enough to shake us: if we remain silent even today, then history will never forgive us, and tomorrow on the Day of Judgment, no excuse of ours will be accepted before Allah.
