The cry of humanity, when making peace also becomes a crime

Yesterday, March 22, Sunday, a very sad and heart-wrenching incident was heard, which made the heart extremely disturbed and the body tremble. This incident occurred at approximately 2:30 pm when two young girls were arguing about something. People present at the scene tried to separate them out of human sympathy, including a mother and her daughter. Both of them intervened and ended the quarrel between the girls, and apparently the matter ended there. However, after a while, the situation suddenly took a dangerous turn. A girl named Niha, her parents, maternal uncle, paternal uncle, and brothers suddenly attacked the mother and daughter. Different weapons were used in this attack, as a result of which the mother's hand was severely injured and she had to get four stitches. When the woman's son saw this scene and merely asked why they were being treated like this, the attackers brutally attacked him as well. During this, sticks and sharp weapons were used, due to which the young man suffered a deep head injury and had to get seven stitches. Later, the matter reached the nearby police station, where the police took notice of the incident and started legal proceedings.

Hearing this incident, the heart became extremely sad and frightened because all this happened in my own neighborhood. The question comes to mind again and again, what is the real reason for such violent incidents? Undoubtedly, a major reason for this is ignorance and intolerance, where people do not have a correct understanding of religion, nor do they care about social values. This situation is very worrying that such a strong reaction is coming out on minor quarrels and those who come forward with the intention of making peace also become victims of oppression. Has saving someone now become a crime? Has society become so insensitive that the value of human life is no longer there?

This is not just one incident, but many such incidents are heard daily, which reflect the declining moral state of our society. Some people even fuel such violence, which is an extremely sad and condemnable attitude.

May Allah Almighty grant guidance, give the ability to distinguish between right and wrong, and promote peace, tolerance and brotherhood in our society. Amen, O Lord of the Worlds.
