The period of student life is like a continuous journey. In this journey, every student should strive to adorn their student life with a distinguished character and excellent qualities, so that everyone gives their example and likes them. In fact, this is the real perfection of a student.

If a student is learning academic skills, acquiring knowledge, and understanding academic life, but does not act upon it, then spending eight to ten years is like wasting precious time. When a person loses something valuable, they certainly feel regret, but this regret does not mean that they should give up on life or take any negative step, but rather they should make up for their shortcomings with more hard work and seriousness.

The glory of a student and their status have been described in detail in the Quran and Hadith.

Allah Almighty says:

(Al-Zumar: 9)

"Is the one who is devoutly obedient during periods of the night, prostrating and standing [in prayer], fearing the Hereafter and hoping for the mercy of his Lord [like one who does not]? Say, "Are those who know equal to those who do not know?" Only those of understanding will be reminded."

Therefore, it is necessary for every student to acquire knowledge, act upon it, and elevate their character to such an extent that they become a beacon of light for others.

While a student undertakes their academic journey, it is very important for them to keep a few things in mind. To develop maturity in their knowledge, the process of repetition and study should be continued continuously, and adherence to it should be given utmost importance.

Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanwi (RA) has repeatedly emphasized the importance of repetition and study.

A famous saying of Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanwi (RA) is:

"Repetition is the life of knowledge. Without repetition, knowledge cannot be established in the heart.

He also says that acquiring knowledge and retaining it are two different things. Hard work and study are necessary to acquire it, and frequent repetition and practice are necessary to retain it.

That is, just reading the lesson is not enough, unless it is repeated again and again and studied deeply, knowledge does not remain permanent and ingrained in the heart.

May Allah grant the ability to act, Ameen Ya Rabb Al-Alameen.
