Hazrat Maulana Rashid Ahmad Gangohi (may Allah have mercy on him) was a very great saint of Allah. In his town of "Gangoh," Maulana Qasim Nanautavi and Maulana Rashid Ahmad Gangohi were together with many scholars. In the summer season, they came out of their homes at noon. Maulana Qasim Nanautavi (may Allah have mercy on him) says that when I reached Gangoh at noon, I was very thirsty. Near Hazrat's Khanaqah in Gangoh, there was a well of solid water. When I reached the well, I saw that there was water in the lota (small pot). I was very happy. When I picked up a cup of water and said that I would drink it little by little, but it did not quench my thirst.
Hazrat Maulana Rashid Ahmad Gangohi (may Allah have mercy on him) arrived. I asked, "How did the water of your well become palatable?" He said that the well was dug on the grave of a person who did not offer prayers.
Hazrat Maulana Rashid Ahmad Gangohi (may Allah have mercy on him) remained silent for some time, then said, "Hazrat! The water of this well is indeed cold, but it is the same water that has come out of the grave of the person who is buried in the grave without offering prayers."
Look! Take care of your prayers. What coolness does the water dried in the afternoon bring, but if the misfortune of the grave of a person who does not offer prayers is included in it, then think about what will be the condition of the dead in that grave?

May Allah protect us all from the torment of the grave. Amen.
