Mobile and Internet: A Challenge for Faith and Morality

Respected Readers, Gradually in human history, science and technology have always played an important role in making life easier. With time, new inventions have changed human living, thinking, and lifestyles. The present era is called the era of scientific progress, in which mobile phones, the internet, and social media have a prominent status. While these resources have reduced distances and made the world a village, their excessive and incorrect use has also created many ethical, religious, and social problems for individuals and society. In this article, an attempt has been made to highlight the advantages of mobile phones and the internet, as well as their disadvantages in particular, so that we can use these facilities with awareness and moderation. The internet, mobile phones, and social media have countless benefits, but they also have many disadvantages. In the past, it was difficult for people to contact each other, and messages were sent through correspondence, but today, thanks to mobile phones, it is possible to contact friends, relatives, and parents in a few moments. Similarly, mobile and internet have made business, buying and selling, advertising, and daily necessities easier. From a religious point of view, it also has benefits that the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah, religious statements, and books have become easily available, which was not affordable for everyone to buy before.
However, despite these benefits, there are serious disadvantages of mobile phones that are often overlooked. Today, mobile has become an essential part of our lives, to the extent that people are constantly engaged in it. The biggest loss is the promotion of indecency. The misuse of the internet and social media has normalized moral corruption. Many parents are worried about the misguidance of their children, and many young boys and girls are deceived and ruin their future.
In the past, indecency was not as common as it is today. Mobile and internet have brought temptation inside the four walls of the house as well. Mother, father, son, and daughter all have mobile phones in their hands and are unknowingly watching things that harm faith and modesty, although modesty is an important part of faith, and in a society where modesty disappears, faith also weakens. Today, mobile and internet have been deliberately made cheaper so that people waste more and more time in it. As a result, illegitimate relationships, moral corruption, and weakening of the family system are emerging. Although mobile phone is a useful invention, its misuse is severely damaging human religion, ethics, and social values. Therefore, there is a need for us to use mobile and internet within the limits of necessity so that its benefits can be obtained and its disadvantages can be avoided. The harm of mobile and social media is the negative effects on health. Today, our health is deteriorating day by day. Those who use it excessively, you can see that diseases are increasing on them day by day. Some are suffering from mental illnesses, some are suffering from neurological diseases, some have weakened eyesight, some have weakened memories, and the beauty of the face has been snatched away because there is no walking around, just using mobile from morning till evening. Earlier, food was digested while walking, and health was good with walking. Since mobile, motorcycles, cars, and facilities have come, our walking has ended. We can't help it, otherwise we would go to the toilet on a motorcycle too. Going everywhere on a motorcycle, going by car, using mobile all the time, this has affected health. Gradually, they became victims of numerous diseases. What happened to what in the blink of an eye.
O Allah, Lord of the Worlds, protect us from indecency and every evil, protect our faith and modesty, reform our children, and grant us success in religion and the world. Amen, Lord of the Worlds.
